We grill a lot during the winter. I keep the patio free of snow just for my husband so he can stand out in the cold and use the nice grill I bought him a few years ago.
There is something about smelling the smoke cut through the cool/cold air. It's a very private & introspective moment standing, alone on the patio. A full moon made it quite bright out there last night. The kid is coming over tonight. He's got some chicken for grillin'. Should be interesting. It's presently -4 degrees during the day!! I've got a 5K at our zoo tomorrow morning at 9am. I seem to do well in the cold weather. It for sure makes me want to finish faster.
