It's been 22 years since I had my last baby, and Lord knows names have changed for children. All the old names are coming back. Like Ginger, Lillian, Varonica, Mabel....etc. I like Kaisha's name, she likes it too.
What would you name your baby if you had one today? I like
That aside, I'm mad that the name Elizabeth is so popular. I'd probably take the east european version and go with Erzebet. I've also always liked the name Catherine, but I would be one of those moms who would hate anyone calling her Cathy.
I'm also a fan of old names, it's probably good that I'm not having kids. The name I'd want the most for a girl is my grandma's name: Edith. I also like my other grandma's name, Ruth.
For a boy, I'd go with my grandpa's name, Howard, my uncle's name Louis, or some other old name like Drake. We had a friend name their baby Xavier, I like that one a lot. I guess I just really like the old medieval sounding names.
I used to try and come up with names all the time but have not done it for a long time. At one point there was Aja, Damon and Rayanne. But my best friend named her girl RheaAnn. I know we have talked about naming a girl Lily for his Grandma(Lillian) that was killed. I like that. I am not normally fond of traditional names. I remember getting mad at my sister when she named my niece. The whole time she was pregnant she told me she was naming her Sara- spelled that way. Instead she spelled it SaraH. I like names with a little flair. However I think my husband is more traditional. But we haven't had that hurdle yet- lol
