So we went to see Queensryche & Don Dokken last night. My first Queensryche show was in 1984, and my first Dokken show in 1986. And I've seen them a few times in-between. But last night was so great!

Don played an acoustic set, and it's impressive to hear all of those songs in a row in an acoustic setting. Really such a great catalog of songs - you almost forget.

Then Queensryche played a set. And they pulled out some old rare songs, and I had a photo pass and got some killer pictures. And Geoff had a chestcold, but sounded fantastic. Still such an impressive vocalist. And he is so dramatic, and such an incredible frontman. He completely blew me away.

We had backstage passes, but because Geoff wasn't feeling great, he didn't hang out.  cry  Will I ever get to meet this man?!  crying.gif  But 3 of the guys were there, and Scott Rockenfield actually came up to us and said, "So we survived NAMM, huh?"  I thought it was pretty cool that he recognized us.

So a friend of mine is back there talking to this guy about someone's Queensryche shirt, and the guy says, "I like HER shirt" pointing to me.  I was wearing one of my many Stryper shirts, soo I curtsey a 'thank you' and we get talking.  I felt like an idiot.  It was Trixter's drummer, Mark Scott!  He looked so different, I didn't recognize him!  So I said, "I'm sorry I didn't recognize you - you're from Trixter."  He said yes.  I said, "And you're reunited, and if feels so good, yes?"  Then Kelly Keeling (who was playing with Don) started singing "Reunited" in our faces, so I had to shoo him away.  Mark said he owns a restaurant in NY, and is busy with that, but yes - they will be doing a reunion tour, going out for about a year.  Could be good.  I had spoken to Steve Brown, the guitarist, at NAMM, but didn't get the full story, so it was nice to see Mark.  I told him, "I saw you play here opening for Stryper in 1990!"  And we got talking about Stryper, which is always fun for me.  He is such a nice guy.   smile

So I e-mailed that picture to Mark from Trixter, along with a picture of the 2 of us taken at the same location in October of 1990 when I saw them open for Stryper.  Pretty cool - he loved the old pic!

I've never posted one of myself on here, because I think maybe the mystery is cool.  The anonymity of being an 'online' person.  No?  

If everyone really wanted to see me, I would post pictures.  (Shall we take a poll?  wink.gif )
