Tonight: Startup Weekend until we get kicked out of City Hall at 11.
Tomorrow: Startup Weekend starts again at 8am and lasts until 11pm. But I'll have to leave for a bit to go work at the tax office.
Sunday: Startup weekend again, and 4 more hours of tax time.

"Startup Weekend recruits a highly motivated group of small business entrepreneurs to build a community and company in a weekend.

The founders decide what to make as a team, and earn an equal share of stock in the developed business. Attendees are responsible for bringing the desire and passion to the project and walk out of the room with a brand new business, in a short 54 hours. Sound intense? It is.

Andrew Hyde Founded in 2007 by Andrew Hyde, the weekend is a concept of a conference focusing on learning by creating. It is known for its quick decisions, out of the box thinking, unique facilitation technique and letting the founders show what they can do. The program has already met with success in Boulder, Toronto, New York, Hamburg, Houston, West Lafayette, Boston and DC and is expanding to 10 other cities. These cities include San Francisco, Boston, DC, Atlanta, London, Dublin, West Lafayette, Chapel Hill, Austin, Portland, and Seattle with more cities signing up weekly.

Founders receive equal shares of founder stock of the company they create (see the FAQs for a full explanation). 5% of each company created goes towards Startup Weekend."

I'm glad.  Have you heard your Kenny G one yet?  I've got one other for ya, but I need to bring it to my friend's for editing, along with a bunch of other NAMM ones.

Hey LS, since you're always around musicians, is that something you do as your job?  Something to do with entertainers?  Just curious; I don't know what you do for a living so thought I'd ask.  smile

I do office work, but for someone who is in the field of music, so yes, you could say I'm "in the music biz".  But I've only met a few musicians through this job.  I'm trying to get more & more into photographing & especially videoing bands.  My camerawork is on a few releases so far.  It's really fun.

Thanks!  I kind of thought you might be involved somehow.  I'm always in awe of your musical knowledge, and I love reading about the trips you take or people you've met!smile

Thanks!  I hope to do more of my NAMM stories in the Forum.  I'm just having trouble with the photos & have to get all of that in order first.
