G-gal, any word about your car?

Since your accident, are they going to fix your car or do they consider it totaled out?  How have you been getting to work and stuff?

Sorry, I was off doing the work stuff. They haven't given me the official word STILL but it sounds like it will be totaled. I should know early this week, and I should get the police report finally. These people are sooooo slow. hmm

in the meantime, my sweetie has been an absolute gem and hauled me about whenever I needed to get somewhere. He is my angel and doesn't even fathom what an enormous help he's been or how precious he is to me in general. aww

I have to say, though, that I can't wait to come up with my own transportation. As grateful as I am and as much as I enjoy being with my sweetheart, I hate not having the independence to do the little things for myself.

Glad to hear your sweetie is getting you around to where you need/want to go, but I do understand about wanting your own transportation.  Once we've had our own car, it's really difficult to be without one.

Yeah that does seem really slow, especially about getting the police report.  Sorry they're going to total your car though......probably won't get much for it, and certainly not enough to find another one.  cry

I'm just trying to stay positive about the outcomes. The car wasn't very old and didn't have a lot of miles on it, so hopefully the compensation will be reasonable. I'm just taking it day by day.

When did you go back to work?  I know you were working from home for a few days.  Are you healed up now or still have some bumps and bruises?

If your car was fairly new then you should get a decent compensation.  The fun side is that you'll be picking out another car!!  smile

I went back to work last Monday. I still have some sprains in my hands and foot that are troubling me, and occasional back and anck pain, but I am healing well. Nothing too serious thank goodness!

Maybe your Chiro can help you with the back and neck pain if it doesn't go away on it's own.  I'm so glad you weren't hurt more seriously than you were!!  How the heck are you typing if your hands have sprains in them? confused

It's not too bad. I just occasionally get pain and stiffness in parts of my hands that makes me type slower or make more errors, so I get a little spell-chekc happy when that happens. laughing.gif

It's nice to have a sweetie to drive you around. Good to hear he's taking good care of you. ;) But I understand what you mean, I feel so abandoned without a car.
