So, who dubs me? I think RetroMan is most appropriate. Chairman of the Bored... Maybe Riggs? He keeps you folks in line or online.

Spark, I've been "roaming" sites about the Kustom Kar Kulture. That stuff is crazy. I plan to hit a show this fall down in IL.

Hi Hartz. Hey Ruby. No rush. I've been at this for more than a year and only have  1000. Daytime has become a mess. The "henchmen" are after me. I hate being paranoid but, our company has a tendency to railroad people then, destroy them. I'm up on a second count of "anger" that's twice in one year. Am I angry? depends. Do I have an idea how things should be, damn right. I've seen quite a few companies that do the same type of business. This one is going to have a world of hurt if they don't get some goodies between their legs.

So, that being said... no rush. I'm cool being squonk, chairman of the bored. (frank s was the chairman)evileye

yep, that's what the counselor said. I'm not a punk. I like stuff that makes you think about what you do and why. All day, I watch people just waste another day. I wake up with a bazillion things to do. When I was younger, maybe 40, I used to have a difficult time sleeping because I was deep in thought. I think my son has the same "curse"
Hartz, I'm working on my "art" for the upcoming show. They've got an opening tomorrow night that I plan to go to. I got an email.

Like their motto- pimpin' art! LOL!

My son is quite the artist, taking a class right now. He just does not see where this will get him later. In other words, someone told him there is no money in it. I told him, it is a hobby no one can ever take away from you. And I can think of a lot worse things he could do with his time.

The goal of money will ruin your creativity early on. Grades, only dull your senses. From the heart, fully exposed. It'll drive you crazy, I'm sure. I've yet to go there. I'm working on it.

Actually, "retro" to me is more the late seventies punk/new wave with a little 90's

My life changed after I heard Devo, The Cars, E Costello. Of course, just before all that pop stuff it was Sex Pistols, 999, Buzz****s, Echo & the Bunnymen, The Furs etc. I think I'll scan my Toyota FX picture in. It has my retroman plate on it. Also, I put a bunch of stuff on Photobucket. Just haven't had time to post it. Pictures of the artroom.

Hey, I'd really like to see some pics of your art room!  So have you been showing any of your art or is it just something you do as hobby?  My oldest girl does some art shows once in a while, but she says she'd rather create stuff more for herself instead of being concerned if it's good enough for a show. 

Retro to me is anything from the 60's and 70's, though I'm not really into a lot of punk.  I'm getting more exposure to it through JD's underground show, which is cool because I'm always interested in being exposed to more music that I'm not familiar with.  smile

I think the last time I "showed" my work was 1999. I do quite a bit of side jobs. Never making any money. I did a redraw of some pinstripe stuff that a guy had done in vinyl on his motorcyle tank. Presently, I'm doing a layout for the same person. He has an apprenticship with a tatoo place. Their flyer is in bad shape. I'm hoping to have him do my tatoo for the price. Okay, it will be a "rocket" going thru the number 88. Like my Olds.

I'm going downstairs. The wife just came home from her dad's place. she was at the casino with him. He lives in an assisted living complex.
