I am glad that she did not get what she asked for. I think she will pay in other ways for this. She is getting death threats and has been forced to leave the UK. She is still getting A LOT though and I can't understand the justification.

I agree. Why does she deserve money just for divorcing someone? It's obviously his money, and she doesn't need that much to survive.

Thanks JD. Sometimes that word fits. Can't think of any other word. Well at least that I can post. I really have a hard time when a woman makes a man 'pay.'  I can understand taking care of the baby, but not her. If I ever get a divorce, I don't want alimony. Child support, yes, but, I want to be able to take care of myself.

Oh, I don't think Paul will ever marry again.

I agree for the most part Ruby. I think alimony is needed in some cases, but not with most of them. For example, if the wife was a housewife, now she'll need to go out and get a job on her own. She'll probably need some sort of financial help for a couple years until she gets fully back into the work force.

So yeah, I'm telling her to go out, get a job, and take care of herself!

I agree MZ, I should have added that. Especially when the man cheats when the wife has stayed at home or if he gets through school and then leaves her. I just meant in her case she had a way to make money, had money before she met him, she just blew it by becoming the devil!

I do think that Linda is turning in her grave.

At least in Paul's case, he had Linda.  It's sad that he lost her.

Thanks for the link Pip. That does sum things up a lot. He's freakin' Paul McCartney, he's not going to have his untrained wife do lighting or set design past the point of, "Hey honey, how do you think that looks?" If he even went that far. That's what professionals are for.

He married too quickly. I am sorry that it was not to the right woman. There was no way he was ready to marry, but had she been more decent and less self centered, he probably could have gotten over Linda to an extent and been a better partner. She was a gold digger and a dang good one!
