I had a doooooozy of a dream last night.

I dreamt that my father, mother and myself were all driving down to North Carolina for my big move (they were just coming along for the drive).

My Dad was saying my GPS unit was useless and I was kind of upset with him. That would be typical Dad, he never liked new technology much. Later in the dream he did apologize for ripping on it.

But here's the weird thing. The first few hours of the drive he's driving, my Mom is in the passenger seat and I'm lying down on the backseat, which is actually a couch.

When we stop at a gas station we all get out, and I say I'll drive the next stretch. Well, I get behind the wheel and realize we've been driving my parents HOUSE to North Carolina and because the steering wheel is in the kitchen I can't see where the heck I'm going!

I'm trying to watch the road through the living room window, but the curtain sheers are making it hard and I'm getting stuck in mud because there's all this construction equipment around and the ground is muddy.

When we finally get on the road it occurs to me that I was in such a rush to leave that I didn't bring my clothes. I was in a panic that the clothes I had on me were the only clothes I was going to have to survive with in NC.

So we stop at a store which at first is closed, but after a few minutes they open up. It's supposed to be a mens clothing store (one that I know from the Milwaukee area) but I can't find mens clothes ANYWHERE. It's all crap you'd find at Bed, Bath & Beyond, and womens clothes, etc. Finally someone says the mens clothes are on the second floor. I start going through these staircases and tunnels and I'm finding nothing.

When I finally DO find the mens section there's hardly anything there.

Then I woke up.

Or maybe, and this is just a guess, but maybe it's because my Mom & Erica ARE coming along for the drive and to spend a couple weeks down there for vacation.

Then again, I'm no dream interpreter, so it's just a guess.

I had 2 weird dreams last night but I forgot them mostly by the time I woke up.

I only remember part of the 2nd one.

I was chasing this pregnant woman. I have no idea who I was but this woman was a bad gal and she had something that was very important. No it wasn't the baby. I have never seen a pregnant lady run so fast! The woman even dove into a swimming pool to get farther ahead of me! It was like she knew me. I am not a good swimmer.

When I woke up I told my husband about it. He asked me if the pregnant lady was a zombie and that's why she moved so fast? (We have seen Dawn of The Dead one too many times- lol) I just laughed and said "no". Maybe she was something else, but she sure looked normal.

A little off topic, but just typing the word brain above reminded me about how when I was a kid I had the toughest time knowing how to spell my Uncle Brian's name. I could never remember if it was IA or AI.

Thinking about it now, I musta been an idiot

I have a bad mental image of people named Brian. The only one I knew growing up (other than my uncle) was a real jerk.

I've noticed that a lot of times, the first person I knew by a name seems to be a mental image I carry with me of that name even today.

I've also noticed that certain names seem to always be tied to certain personalities. I've often wondered if there's anything to it. I mean, I'm talking simple names like Jim and Nancy, etc.

But just as an extreme example to make the point. A guy named biff is usually gonna be a big bruiser with a low IQ right? A guy name Stuart usually isn't such a big tough guy.

I wonder if there's anything to that. The name you grow up with affecting who you become.

That's how my husband got the nickname, "Braino."

Oooh, that's right! Your husband is named Brian and he seems like a great guy.

But again, for example, I don't think I've ever seen a really heavy Brian. Brian is a thin guy name. Where as Jim is a name I've seen LOTS of big guys have, including myself.

How many times have you heard of someone being called Big Jim.

It's not the pizzas and lack of exercise! It's the name my parents gave me! GRRRR!

My Dad's name is Jim. He was not that big of a guy.

But yes all the Brian's in my life were skinny.

I am VERY excited that your mom and Erica are coming down for a while. They are both GREAT people and I can definitely see why it would be difficult to leave them. I really admire the way you love your family and they share that love in return. That makes you a very lucky person. Your mother has been very good to you and your sister and I can't imagine you not returning the favor.

I HATE the kind of dreams that I had last night!

I used to wait tables until very recently and I have had these kind of dreams for as long as I can remember!

I was back waiting tables at my uncle's restaurant, and we were starting to get very busy. I was being loaded up with table after table. Six people here, eight people there. I took everyone's drink orders and went back to the waitress station to start making drinks. I had a tray loaded with drinks after what seemed like forever, and then I drop the tray and have to start all over! My customers are getting angry and I am rushing around trying to get their orders ready while my co-workers just stand around watching me. I am trying to remember what everyone has ordered because I have misplaced their ticket. When I walk out and take their drinks to them, they start asking for refills before I can even get their food orders! Then I wake up.

I hate this type of dream because I wake up exhausted and stressed! furious

I had a sad dream about my grandpa last night. Not really going to go into details on this one.

I had a dream early this morning where I was on vacation somewhere. I remember thinking "it takes me 3 days to get into I am on vacation mode!" and it was day three. I was feeling really good and relaxed. I think I was on a beach somewhere. I looked up at the sky and I saw this small plane start to go out of control. It started to head back towards where it came, but it was sinking fast. like 700 mph. too fast for such a small plane. I heard the distant echo of a thud, looked back and saw the smoke and flames in the distance. Just then I noticed a passanger plane, in fact, a Southwest Airlines airplane, take off from the same spot that the crash occured.

I had a dream I was shopping at a Boys Club Thrift store and found a wad of money laying on a dresser like someone had been taking a deposit to a bank and got side tracked. Being the honest guy I am I picked it up and took it up front. They counted it and were 2 dollars short and were blaming me for steeling it. I kept trying to explain to them why would I just steel 2 out of thousands?

I had a rather weird dream the other night. I was rooming with an actress who had done a spell that had gone wrong and it almost killed her and it did kill her boyfriend. They ended up having to use my life to resurrect them, and then I gained all this power.

I'd say that was one of my weirder ones. And I haven't even watched any horror movies lately.

I woke up in the middle of the night from a dream last night. I remember thinking "Wow, that was strange, I'll have to post that one" and went back to sleep. Now I remember waking up and thinking that, but can't even come up with a hint of what the dream was about.

what kind of was interesting for me is that I do have plane crash dreams from time to time. Usually when the plane crashes I will wake up suddenly. heck, even fall out of bed sometimes. Here it was like, "wow that's gonna crash." and while I still did jump a little bit when it did, it didn't wake me, I was able to look back and see the aftermath from a distance.
