Fabulous Friday!

YAY! It's almost the weekend! Today is just a teacher workday, so it's no big deal going to work. More rain and possibly thunderstorms today. I am ready for this work week to be over!clap.gif

yay it's FRIDAY! It's rainy here too.
Not much going on this weekend so maybe I can start downloading and organizing the dance songs if Riggs has to time to make sure I get started doing it right. smile

While the rest of you are happy that it's Friday, I'm sad it is because that means my week off work is drawing to a close.  cry  Time never goes this fast when I'm at work!!  Not much on the agenda this weekend; if it's not raining or cold I might start raking the yard.  We have two huge Norway pine trees and a maple tree that dropped all kinds of stuff on the ground over the winter.  We'll see how ambitious I feel tomorrow.

Eh, it's another Friday before a weekend of work. But, this weekend and next weekend, then tax season is over! I'll be so happy to not have to do taxes anymore. It's really not that bad, but I just need a break right now.

I think I'm not doing so well mentally. I'm not used to being like this. I'm usually happy and upbeat and pretty calm, but I've been so stressed out lately. I'll cry at every little thing, and I think about the possibility of having a difficult tax return to do this weekend, and I tense up. I just can't take everything life is throwing at me anymore. I'm hoping that once tax season is over, I'll have some more time to myself and I'll calm down a bit.

Mz, I'm sure the stress of your husband not having a job right now is adding to this too.  I know this will sound silly considering your financial circumstances right now, but it might help a little if you two continue having "date nights" just like you've always done in the past.  You both need to continue having some type of fun together.....this will help alleviate some of the stress you both must feel.  It doesn't have to be expensive nights out either, sometimes just little things like window shopping together, going for an ice cream (if you can eat it), maybe renting a movie, stuff like that.

And yeah, once tax season is over, that will help you too. smile I remember the huge relief I always felt once that was done.

Good Morning, the sun is shining and I know spring is near! I can start to hear the birds chirping in the morning. It should be a pretty quiet weekend for me. The only project that is a possibility is making shelves in my garage.

Howdy Folks.

I hope you can kick your stressful feelings soon, Mz. Get through the tax season will have to help some.

There is a big track meet at the school today so the kids all get out at 2:00. That will mean not much will get done by me this afternoon.

Its 32 now with an expected high of 60. After a few days of rainy weather, it will be nice to have a warm day.

Carry on.

Good idea Ghost. Tax season has really made our date nights irregular.

And actually, with Brian off of work and the weather getting better, hopefully we'll be able to do it more. When he was working, he was to tired to want to go for a walk or anything like that, he'd been on his feet all day.

I actually prefer it when he's not working. Unfortunately, we still need that paycheck. We are going to spend some of the tax check to get him some beads so he can make some jewelry to resell. I know it's not going to supplement his income enough to not have to work right now, but that's our goal for the future. And since he has the extra time, I figure now would be a good time to get it started.

I see that the Stones movie Shine A Light is playing at a regular theater in town (tho not sure where it is.) I hope this doesn't mean that its not coming to our IMAX, because I'd like to see it there. I checked the website, and it does indeed say "coming to IMAX and movie theaters".

Morning JD.  We don't have an IMAX near me....the closest one is down in either Flint or Pontiac, so I'll have to see it on a regular movie screen.  hmm

Mornin' all.

Back to the doctor today. It's already been a month and he won't refill my prescription without seeing me first. Which is a total scam. He just wants the $75 office visit fee.

He doesn't even check me out, he just asks "How are you doing? Any side effects from the new medicine" then writes me a prescription! He could do that over the phone, but of course he doesn't squeeze another $75 out of me that way angered.gif

Anyway, other than that it's a nice day here, gonnna be in the low 50's and sunny.

My projection TV sold last night crying.gif I was kinda hoping they wouldn't take it hmm.gif

Aw, don't be frustrated Riggs. I think the doctors have to see you on that interval with certain meds because of risks for dependency and to have direct dialogue about any possible side effects. It's weird and might seem unnecessary, but at least you know your prescritpions are being assessed regularly.

today is opening day here in MIlwaukee. I work close to the stadium. 8:45 in the morning and already the traffic was bonkers. silly people. I'd much rather go to the game tomorrow where there's 5000 people instead of 50,000.

the drug you are taking is known for causing depression, its not something any good doctor just hands out without making sure you are ok.

Well, I just got back from a very frustrating morning of dealing with this doctor.

I agree about not just handing them out. I figured this being my first time on it he'd want to see me after 30 days to see how I'm doing, and then hopefully at least let me have a 3 month prescription.

So, this is a husband and wife that are the ONLY doctors and they have two locations.

I walk in and ask if the husband is there today. They tell me neither is in yet, but the woman was due in soon. THIS IS TWO HOURS AFTER THEY OPENED! Patients have been sitting in rooms waiting! Not the first time I've gotten there after they opened and been told the doc isn't in yet, but TWO HOURS?!?!?

So then I explain that I tried to refill a prescription and it was rejected. They remember the situation as it was only a few days ago. The doctor argued with Walgreens that he only said to give me one pill a day for 30 days and they said his script said two pills a day for 30 days (which is what I've been taking). The doctor apparently insisted that's not how he wrote the prescription and wondered if I HAD ALTERED IT!!! angered.gif

So I drive the other location to deal with this guy and again, it's now two and a half hours after they open and neither doctor was in yet, but the receptionist tells me the guy is off today. So apparently one doctor is handling TWO locations?!?!?

Finally I went to Walgreens and got a photocopy of the original script which clearly shows the doctor wrote 2 a day, 60 total pills.

Now I have to go in tomorrow when he's at the nearby location and deal with this.

OH! AND PLUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUS!

If he was so upset that they let me have a double dose of this stuff, WOULDN'T YOU THINK HE'D CALL ME TO SAY HEY! DON'T TAKE TWO A DAY, I ONLY WANT YOU ON ONE!!!

Thank God this is the last time I'll be dealing with this guy! no.gif

I don't even know why I've been going to this guy so long.

He's tried to screw me over on billing issues, then when I threaten to tell the insurance company his price was nearly doubled as opposed to normal he says "Oh, it was a billing mistake on my end, I'll fix it".

I just prefer a place you can walk into and be seen and out within 10 minutes instead of a regular doctor where you can have a 3 PM appointment and first be seen at 4 PM.

But it's time to go back to a regular doctor. This guys a joke.

I had that problem with the last doctor's office I went to. It was just the one doctor (and it was a women's doctor). One time I went in for my yearly check up, they had me pee in the cup, go to the room, get undressed and put on the gown. I waited, sitting on the paper on the chair table thingy with nothing on but a hospital gown FOR AN HOUR! It turns out he was delivering a baby. That's fine, but couldn't they have let me know and rescheduled?

I got the feeling that he wanted to just deliver babies and not focus on other women's problems. I switched to a doctor who had done research into a condition I had at the time, and who shared an office with his wife and a nurse practitioner. One time he wasn't available and I saw the nurse practitioner instead, and loved her, so I started seeing her. And then she moved to Washington. Now I end up seeing his wife more than him, but I still like them.

I know a business owner here in town that had an Dr appointment and they left him sitting for an hour before he got in.

The next day, he billed the the Dr's office for an hour of his time. They knew this guy well enough that it would be much easier for them to pay it then fight with him on it.

That's what I hate about doctors.....they always overbook their appointments!  I'll wait an hour, but anything longer than that, I'm leaving....they can re-schedule me for a different day.  I've got so I'm not afraid to tell them that my time is just as valuable as the doctor's, and they better not bill me for a missed appointment either just because I'm tired of waiting.

Of course, if the doctor was called away on an emergency, it's a different story, but they still better tell me how long they expect him to be gone because I won't wait two or three hours for him to return.

i have a fiend who was just forgotten. he'd gone in because he had a miserable cold and he fell asleep on the bed while waiting (a couple hours), and he wasn't discovered until it was closing time. and he still goes to the doctor! all i can think is that he must have got hooked up with some really good meds...
