I think 2 or 3 weeks ago I started a myspace group to promote the station for local, regional, unsigned and up and coming bands to announce dates, cd releases etc- really just to promote the idea that if you send in music, I will air it sunday nights.

Its still in its infancy, not sure how to really promote it that well outside of myspace, in fact I almost forgot about it. But I just checked, and PETER HOOK (Joy Division & New Order bassist) signed up for the group!!! Way cool! One of my all time favorite musicians!!!!

I better get to work on it now!smile.gif

Good idea JD!  As many musicians as there are on Myspace, I think if you keep posting a bulletin every now and then about it, you'll probably get more to join.

Hey send me whatever you're using to promote the group thing, and I can get some bulletins out about it too.  I'm always getting requests to add bands, and if this could help you out, I'll start adding all the band requests I get to my friends list.  smile

thanks g-gal I'm pumped. He must really believe in the direction of new music and myspace being a viable way to deliver it! The group would have had to have been something he searched for too. I all proud!!!aww.gif
