He's one of my husband's favorite actors.  I like his hair.  He's got good hair.  smile.gif

I saw this movie and Pacino's hair caught my attention. The stylist went for the eccentric genius look, messy but cool so Pacino doesn't look like such an old fella. That and the fact that he totally groped the young costar's breast in an action scene amused the heck out of me. That's sooooo Pacino!

Last movie I tried to watch was last night! We borrowed a DVD off my neighbour which ended up being a very naughty movie! It was supposed to be Beowolf but ended up being "Everyone's Doing It" inside the cover instead! evileye.gif

We played with Playstation instead!

I will have to see this one.

I watched Kickin It Old School with Jamie Kennedy the other night, kind of silly but had some funny parts. He was a 12 year old break dancer in 1986, he hit his head and went into a coma for 20 years. Afer he came out he was still in 1986. Good movie for we 80's lovers.

Tried to rent Juno last night at a RedBox. But... line was 5 people deep so I let it go. Do you all have RedBox. The secret is out here, it's FABULOUS. Ours are at McDonald locations. New rentals, $1 per night, slide you debit credit card and the movie you pick spits out of the machine. You can return it to any other RedBox location to return it. YOU CAN'T BEAT IT, except when there's 5 other people in front of you and they want to scan the titles. Arrrrgh!!

So... last night instead I tried to watch "Clockwork Orange". It's some 70's movie that won some Oscars and I just don't get it. Maybe it's because I've never done drugs and have too much Rush Limbaugh indoctrination in me.

I too saw "August Rush" a while back and put it in my top five movies seen this year. The music is just incredible.

I remember seeing A Clockwork Orange and not totally getting it. It was a bit too violent and mean for me.

That is a WEIRD movie.

I saw that Red Box at a gas station in Kentucky I think. It was either Kentucky or in Charlotte here in North Carolina.

I didn't see the price, but I thought it was a cool idea for vending DVD's.

I haven't been to the movie theater in a long time; our theaters are so noisy with phones ringing and people talking.  Even when you complain to the ushers or manager, it doesn't help, so I've just about given up on 'em.  If there's something I want to see, I wait until it comes out on dvd then rent it or buy it.  The last movie I watched was "We Are Marshall".....got it from the library the other night; was the 2nd time I saw it....really good movie.

I've got my tv and dvd player hooked up through the stereo.....our receiver has a bunch of different settings on it...surround sound, club, concert arena, all kinds of jazzy stuff.  And my husband has some bad azz monster JBL speakers plus we added 3 more to those.  Anyway, we dumped a ton of money into our stereo equipment......true audiophiles I guess.  Movies at home sound better than the theater to me.

I'm waiting for "Shine A Light" to come out on dvd.  biggrin

I like A Clockwork Orange, but I'm weird like that. It's one of those movies that you have to look deeper into, at the underlying message, not just take it at face value. We had to read it in school, too. Maybe that's the difference, that I read the book.

Another movie that I love that no one else seems to like is Lost in Translation. That's a movie I really need to buy.

I saw August Rush about a month ago on DVD.  I wanted to see it in the theaters when it came out but never had the chance.  The movie was a movie about hope and as a musician, I loved the role music played in the story.  I really liked this movie alot.

This weekend I rented 27 Dresses -- enjoyed it.
Also, watched Gojira (again) -- the first Godzilla movie -- one of my all time favorites.

Haven't been to the movie house since Alvin & The Chipmunks...

Over the weekend, we watched 2 movies:
For Your Consideration (Great, as all Christopher Guest movies are)
Sweeney Todd (Gory, but good. Cool coloring to the movie)

I don't go to the theater much. I know it is a better place to see a movie, but I don't usually sit down and watch movies. Plus, what does it cost now to see a movie - $10? It had been years, and I mean years since I saw a movie in the theater. I saw Jerry Maguire when it came out. I think I saw it in December 1996. I saw A Beautiful Mind when that first came out and I think that was the Spring of 2002. The next time I went, I saw We Are Marshall. So that was December of 2006. Then I saw the Simpsons movie sometime last summer - after the hype and crowds died down. I think I would like to get to the new Indiania Jones movie though. But once again, I will wait until the crowds dissappear.

we don't go to the movies much either because of the cost of admission... then there's popcorn and a drink -- what's that another 10 bucks? there is a $2.50 matinee move theater in a neighboring town, but you still get hammered at the concession stand. same with the $1.50 movie theater in tulsa which shows movies that have been out a while...

i think we'll splurge when The Dark Knight comes out...
