!YADSEUT

Good Morning everyone, poor AC was up all night coughing, I think she tried to sleep in the chair most of the night? I woke up with a soar throat myself, I suppose after 6 weeks of people before me having colds I can only dodge the bullet for so long. hmm

Off to work now.....

Sheesh, I'm glad I've been having tons of orange juice, maybe I can dodge this cold you guys have been passing around. Maybe I should disinfect my keyboard and mouse.

I've been feeling weird the past couple days, and as usual, I suspect it has something to do with my allergies. I've been really shaky and am having trouble concentrating. I noticed that when I was helping my mom go through stuff at my grandma's, where everything's coated with dust. The house was built in the 1890's, and my stepdad and uncle were working on the door, so who knows what else was in the air too. I took a Zyrtec instead of a Claritin this morning and picked up some coffee on the way in, so hopefully that helps.

Zyrtec MZ? Does that make you sleepy? It is stronger to me than Benadryl! Hope you feel better too.

Good luck again Woo, never heard from the landlord?

thanks! not one word from the landlord. We will call him tonight and let him know that we are looking at possibly moving. We can't say for sure unless we have somewhere to go. I hope we are able to go.

Is your presricption or over the counter. Not sure that it matters, but anyway I take Zyrtec at night when I can't sleep. One of my co workers says it makes her feel the same.

I've taken prescription before, but this is over the counter. But when I took the prescription stuff, it was Zyrtec D, and the decongestant made me jittery. I've only taken the over the counter stuff recently, Saturday and today. Saturday I took it too late, after I was already exposed to allergens, and we had been working all day, so I was sleepy anyway. Today, I don't think I'm any sleepier than I was. But I'm still shaky.

Howdy Folks.

Mrs Web and I are home again today. I could be at the office, but I can work from here just as well.

I'm feeling a little better but far from over it. The Claritin-D helped my congestion but it kept me awake. I didn't think it was going to bother me, but by brain was spinning all night. I've still got fluid and pressure in my ears, but its not like it was. Mrs Web was fighting congestion and coughing all night which kept her up. She was talking about possibly going in to work at noon, but I don't think thats going to happen.

Happy Earth Day!

All the people I saw about town on Saturday cleaning up litter gave me a bit of hope for humanity. Its being whittled back down by the absolute ******* that surround me on my ride to work tho.

Good morning all! It's been crazy this week, but I guess when isn't it? So far, I still have a job...that's always good news. laughing.gif It sounds like there may be some lobbying to shift the focus of my job though, so that I'm a product management lead more than a project lead. It'll be interesting to see what happens.

Wow, way too many sick people around here - hope you all start feeling better soon. TTYL!

Mornin' all.

Wow, now Ally & Sparky got the cold. It really is working it's way around the forum I guess.

I started taking Zyrtec last night because Jenn has been after me saying she thinks it's allergies AND a cold.

The cold has basically been gone for the last four or five days, but I still have a little scratch in my throat and my voice is all goofy. I can't speak much louder than a whisper. If I have to go in and get antibiotics to kick the rest of this thing I'm gonna be very annoyed.

Woo, good luck on the apartment, I really hope you get it. From the way you describe the place you're in now it's hard to believe it's up to code enough to even be rentable property!

Trust me, they will have a hard time selling it if they go that route. There is no way it would get by an inspector without many repairs! I want out and I hope this place accepts us!

I finally got the van back today. Its been in the shop since last Monday.

First it was the speed sensor on the transmission and it took two days to get that part.

They said it was done.

I went to go get it and when I got there, they said "Have you noticed your brakes fading?" I said "No, but I've always thought it braked hard since I've had it." He said "When we had it up on the hoist testing the new sensor, we noticed you have no rear brakes." Then he showed me a brake valve that is leaking. He said a new valve is $180 but they rarely go bad so he wouldn't be afraid of getting a used one via salvage. So, they ordered one from the salvage yard. That finally got here yesterday and they finished it up this morning.

Holy cow, I didn't realize the brakes were that bad. They have been that way as long as I've had the van but just assumed it was the way it was.

After I left, I got to thinking about it. That same garage has changed the oil for me several times and have always checked off the brake system as being ok. It makes me think now that they were not doing all the checks that they said they were doing.
