This one kind of makes me laugh. I've noticed for the last two years our used car lots are nothing but SUVS and trucks.
Now apparantly dealers are starting to stop accepting them in trade or offering trade in value WAY below it's normal price.
This is from a Florida used car dealer...
Nobody is buying used SUVs, said Hoyos, 35, who stopped accepting them six months ago. The truth is more and more dealers are staying away from used SUVs and large trucks ... It doesnt pay. You cant have a unit sitting on the lot forever.
So now, not only are these people who had to have their Hummers dealing with tough gas prices, but they can't unload them either so they're stuck with em'.
If we could afford to take a loan, right now would be an excellent time for my husband to get a "new" used truck because the price of those gas hogs are waaay down.
I know some people that have parked their Hummers; they went and bought themselves a used small car because they couldn't afford to drive the Hummer. My heart didn't break any for them.
