Happy Cinco de Mayo!

margarita.gif

Good day all!  If people leave me alone, I might get some work done.  If I get some work done, you'll see me on the forum throughout the day.  If I don't get anything done, I'll talk to you when the day is over.

Mmmmmmmm 'rita!
I am very tired today. I doesn't even feel like we had a weekend! yawn It was a very busy one. Packing, in-laws, landlord, beckoning girl, etc. Then we stayed up a bit to watch the Dallas/San Jose hockey game to see who the Wings would play next. We only stayed up through 1 of 4 overtimes! San Jose did not go down without a fight! Both teams had excellent goalies! So we play Dallas next. Fuzzy's Flyers are still going strong too! Possible matchup? biggrin

Oh We get nachos at work today to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. I don't know if thats kind of bad because it seems stereotypical, but each year everyone, including the mexicans, devour these really quickly.

I also think it was interesting that this year that the local "Day Without Latinos" was only a small parade of 100 school children. I guess in a rough economy its best to behave and not take a non-work approved 3 day weekend.blankstare.gif

OMG I'm INSANELY TIRED!

It was one of those nights where I couldn't turn my brain off hmm.gif I didn't even really try to sleep until almost 4:30, then I kept thinking of things I have to do today and this week. I was still up at 6:30 when Jenn called.

I finally dozed off around 8 ish, then my alarm woke me at nine hmm.gif

Buenos Nachos everyone! With our snow storm on Friday, and having a paid day off it was one of the shortest weekends ever. It was a strange weekend, 2 feet of snow on Friday and by yesterday we were cooking out at the neighbors house in 65 degree weather.

When we got to work my husband's desk phone wasn't working. I checked the other phones and they were good. Upon further investigation, a mouse had chewed through his phone line no.gif

Oh I can tell I am tired today. I keep forgetting things.

Anyway my husband called me in to the living room this morning to watch a video. It was Def Leppard featuring Tim McGraw. It wasn't bad smile

When you say goulash, do you mean hamburger, tomato sauce, and noodles? I made goulash Sunday, but it's cubed pork, peppers, onions and lots of paprika and ground red pepper.

There seems to be a trend lately. Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, Bon Jovi and Jodi Messina (I think, I don't really listen to country but it was someone like her), and now Tim McGraw and Def Leppard. weirdface.gif

yep the first ingredients were right. There might be some onions and some other seasoning. I think she might just fry the hamburg with the onions though. She knows I am not a big onion fan.

Cool, that's what my husband's family calls goulash, too. Both varieties are good. smile.gif

Man, I did not want to go to work today.  The closer it gets to the end of the school year, the stronger my thoughts become of saying "you can take this job and shove it."  Five more weeks to go; hope I can last that long.

I was going to make tacos for dinner tonight, but it's so nice out I think I'll have hamburgs on the grill instead.  hungry.gif Now I just have to come up with something to go with 'em.

Woo, I heard the new song "Nine Lives" Def Leppard & Tim McGraw did together.  I'm not sure yet what I think of it; it might be one of those that has to grow on me.
