so, you can imagine how I felt at 36, but my husband was 51! he picked up Isaac at daycare a few weeks ago, and a little girl asked him, "Are you Isaac's papa" (Grandpa in Okie slang) ashamed.gif

I'd like Mariska Hargitay to play me and how about Ed Harris can play my hubby... biggrin.gif

14 hours ago, I was cleaning the kitchen.

14 minutes ago, I was cursing at the internet for not loading any pages.

14 years ago, I was in 7th grade. Me and my best friend, Jessica, had just started hanging out with Brent, Blaine, and Aaron.

We were all in the honors class together. Earlier in the year, Jessica had a crush on Blaine, and I had asked Brent out to the Sadie Hawkins dance (and got a no, by the way). Then when it came time to dissect frogs, we had to get in groups of 4, and so I somehow convinced Brent and Blaine to let us join their group. (Aaron was just in another group.)

Then we had a special project we had to do for a regional contest every year. The guys always made videos, and had the BABs show that they did for fun over the summer. So we all got together and made a video about Alaska. It was hilarious. Of course, it was shot in springtime in Indiana on a middle-schooler's budget. The ocean was the fish tank in the library, Alaska was a piece of white roll paper taped to the wall in the hallway, and Jessica and I were Eskimos wearing jeans and winter coats (although my mom did let me borrow her fur coat). And on top of it being bad, we tried to make it funny. The Czar of Russia had an answering machine with one of those annoying messages where he says, "Hello, this is the Czar of Russia," then the explorer (who happened to be calling on a pay phone) told him all about finding this new land, just to find out he was talking to the answering machine the whole time. Later they visit the Czar, and his guard was blind, until finally someone just pushed his hat up and he could see again.

We stayed friends through high school, and made tons more movies. Now Brent has graduated from Dartmouth with a double major in linguistics and computer science and is working for the university on something with computers, international hackers, and homeland security. Blaine is studying for his masters for music production. I'm not sure what happened to Aaron, I would guess that he's going for his masters or doctorate in music. But I'm closest to Jessica, and was the maid of honor in her wedding a couple years ago.

24 hours ago I was taking a well-deserved nap.
24 minutes ago I was updating my LinedIn network and answering questions for a colleague.
24 years ago I was in a middle school class. I would have been in Spaish class right about now and undoubtedly wore something ridiculous like a paint-splash miniskirt, something neon, or tiger striped bandanas. I probably was listening to Michael Jackson, Duran Duran, Kool & The Gang after school or watching MTV, if I wasn't at Pom POm practice for The WHS Warchicks. rofl.gif

Oh JD, you've hit the magic number to make everyone feel old.

26 hours ago, I had just gotten to work, and was probably checking the forum.

26 minutes ago, I was looking up the polo shirts that the Kelley School of Business ordered in the past so I could give them a current quote.

This day, 26 years ago, I was in the womb, 6 some months in the making. I'd be born in exactly 2 months.

This got me thinking. I am having soooo much more fun in my 30s than I did for a lot of my 20s. I completely worked my 20s away between school and working 50-60 hrs a week. drinking and drugs were the fun to be had. I'm so happy my 30s are going the way my 20s should have been. smile.gif

Good to hear.  I have known for a long time that the best times are over for me!  Nothing can compare to my 20's.  And now I'm just an old fart  laughing.gif

30 hours ago I had been at work for exactly one hour.

30 minutes ago I was on my way home from work.

30 years ago I was getting excited about my graduation from high school.  I can't believe I've been out of school 30 years already!  My 30th class reunion is in July.  Since I haven't been to any of the other reunions, I'm thinking of going to this one.  I doubt I'd recognize any of my classmates because I haven't run into any of them since we got out of school.

9 minutes ago, I just got home from WonderBash.

9 hours ago, I was working on a bunch of small typesetting jobs that I wanted to finish up before I took lunch.

9 years ago, I think this would've been prom weekend. My parents had left town for a long weekend that they took every year, and they even gave me permission to throw a party as long as I was careful and no one drove home after drinking. After my parents left, I went to spend one last night with my boyfriend, George. Me and him had grown apart, and I was finding myself attracted to other guys and wanted to date around a little (there was this one guy named Brian that I was particularly enamored with). But I wanted to have one last night with George first. I didn't know how I was going to do it yet, but I had decided I'd break up with him on Saturday and be a free woman for prom (where I had two dates, and neither one of them was George or Brian). Apparently, he was thinking the same thing. He broke up with me in a note (we wrote long notes to each other frequently) that he gave me at the end of the night.

10 minutes ago I was cracking open a bottle of wine and sitting down to crank some tunes on freeze frame radio. It might be me just broadcasting to me right now for all I know. and thats just fine with me. and my wine.smile.gif

10 hrs ago I woulda been here starting up the studio b stream again and eating my lunch of biryani curry rice.

10 yrs ago I bet both riggs and I would be working overnight at the printing company, but probably hanging out playing uno. Fridays back then were insane for me. I had a 9am to 10:30 am class, worked a part time job from 11-2, then often times worked a 12-13 shift at the printing company on friday nights when we were busy. 4 pm to 4 or 5 am.

I remember once opening the dock door at 4 am for my break. I saw 3 deer, 2 of which were easily 12 point bucks out in the parking lot. Those 2 were as big as horses, I swear. I think they were going to battle right there in the lot for the female. They saw me & got spooked & took off. well I got spooked & took off back inside too. Huge, huge deer.
