This is just some random WebGuy stuff from tonight.
First, its the time of year that our lilac bush is flowering again:
While outside, I took a picture of my ham radio tower/antennas too:
Then I zoomed in on the dove sitting on it at my camera's max zoom (12x):
Mrs Web was going through some of her mom's old papers and stuff this evening that we brought over here today. She found these business receipts from her dad in August 1959. This would have been about two months before her mom and dad got married. I wish gas was still 33 cents/gal.
She wanted to throw these two fridge magnets out because they are starting to rot on the back. She wanted pics of them before they get thrown away. She remembers them being on their fridge for ever:
And finally, she remembers making the caterpillars when she was a little girl probably about the same age as our son is now. These too are also starting to fall arpart so we tooks pics for memories:
There ya go. A few things from our day today.
I just successfully wasted 45 seconds of your life (maybe even more if your download was slow) that you will never get back.
Your lilac bush is so pretty Web!! I have an old lilac bush/tree that gets very few blooms on it now.....I think it's location is stunting it by too much shade. Does anyone know if I could dig it out and sucessfully transplant it? Or maybe tell me how to get some starter shoots off it?
We also have an "Old Fashioned" lilac just to the right of this one. The buds on it are just now starting to open up. It will be pretty in a few more days.
I remember those catepillar things! Hadn't seen them in many many years.

just grab some that are about a foot or so long and yank. You should get some small roots along with them.....stick in dirt where you want em and water. If you put several of them in the same spot it will fill in faster. It takes a LONG time for them to grow big, we planted 200 sticks in 1986 and finally have about a 10 foot tall lilac hedge that is about 100 feet long. Most of the lilacs are white but we had a few of the original sticks die and took shoots from another house that were purple. Didnt know at the time the others were white.
Thanks for the info AC!!! I know all of the trees in our yard have grown a lot, so I'm pretty sure it's a thing of the lilacs not get enough sun anymore. I'm going to try what you suggest. Thanks so much!
