Good day all!

I've noticed that how my day goes depends on my internet connection. (I've mentioned this before.) Everyone in the office looks at me like I'm nuts, but none of them use the internet as much as I do (even for work). Some days, mostly afternoons, it will take forever for pages to load. They'll time out and I'll have to reload them several times. Even when I'm not working on the internet, you can imagine how this stifles my productivity. That happened yesterday, and I left with work left undone and just plain grumpy. Hopefully the internet connection will be fine today.

Hello all! Well my Red Wings are in the Stanley Cup Finals! w00t.gif
That starts Saturday which is perfect timing with the move. We should be mostly moved by then. smile
Stupid landlord is bringing someone to see the place tonight.

Pip- I'm glad you are only down to one sickie.

Now I must get to working

Have you tried them yet? Oreo's were those "expensive" cookies when I was a kid that my mom would say "Here these Valutime chocolate flavored sandwich cookies are the same thing and cost $3.00 less". They weren't the same. no.gif

Morning gang.

I thought I'd sleep in today, but it just didn't happen that way. hmm.gif I was SO tired after yesterdays cruise and four hour drive each way. But today at 8 I was awake.

Today is kind of a depressing day, it's the last full day with my family here. They'll leave early tomorrow and then the reality of what I've done will set it. Even during the week they were here I woke up a lot of morning feeling sick to my stomach hoping I made the right choice. I imagine it will be really bad the first few days after they go.

I already miss all the family members and friends I left behind in Wisconsin. It's silly really because I could go weeks if not months without seeing some of them anyway. But knowing they are 900 miles away is hard.

Even a bigger surprise for me is how much I miss Wisconsin and West Allis already! I always thought I could move just for the sake of weather, but I realize now I couldn't. Family & Friends are too important to me. If it weren't for Jennifer I would have never made a move like this.

Well, if the rest of my group EVER wakes up today, we're going to the Concord Mall, then checking out Charlotte for a bit. We'll wind up the day with a quick trip to see Jennifers town of Welcome (that should take five minutes as it's about three blocks long) and then back here for a Brewer game. So far they're 0 for North Carolina no.gif

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Not got any yet, will have to try them though, I knew of them from American shows and stuff, but never had any.

Oh man, Ultimo . . . you're in for a treat.

Last day of school for the boy, they get out at 11:00am. This morning when I got him up, he said: "Dad, after I get home from school, only call me "Second Grader" for the rest of the day, ok?"

Its gonna be tight to get to everything on time this evening. Mrs Web usually doesn't get home until about 5:20, then the dog has a vet appointment at 5:30 and baseball practice is at 6:00.

The house next to ours sold, (JR, you're too late). The neighbor lady came over to say goodbye last night as they have to be out by the 29th. Sure, she waits until they are moving to be nice and sincere. They really haven't been too much trouble the last couple years. Their kid that caused most of the trouble is old enough that he gets on his bike and pulls his crap all over town now, not just on us.

I also heard that the new neighbor is an IT geek. He used to work in a big data center and he's coming here for an IT job with the big feedlot. So, it will either be really fun to have a fellow geek next door, or we will clash from being so similar. I hope we become friends. My wife met he and his wife at the bank and she warned me that he seems like a nice guy but has a VERY confident attitude about everything and is a big talker. I tend to not enjoy hanging out with people that talk big and do little.

Its like my brother-in-law. He knows everything about everything. The very few times that there is something he doesn't know, its not that he really doesn't know, its just that its unimportant and doesn't matter. I can't talk to him. I just listen and shake my head and pretend like he is enlightening me to a higher level of zen consciousness. Eventually, he feels like he's done me enough favors and goes on to his next victim.

Tuesday on.

Good morning, everyone. Happy Tuesday! Busy day for me today. Ill be lurking mostly

The big move is a done deal! I know what you are going through JR. It was 20 years ago this April that I made my big move and said good-bye to everything I knew and that gave me a sense of security. The first year or so was tough and I wanted to go home, but I wouldnt change a thing now.
You will be fine -- after all, you and Jenn have each other!

Web, is this the same neighbor that got her truck stuck in the snow a couple of winters ago?

Oh, no, that was the neighbor here at the office. Their house is for sale too, but their years of alcohol abuse has taken its toll on their brains if they think they are going to get even close to what they are asking for the place. If they do ever sell it, they are going to have to come WAY down in price and its going to have to be a fellow smoker that is not sensitive to it. Anyone I've talked to that has been in it says the house smells like an ash tray.

Yeah, Mz, you never know. Geeks are movin' in. First our street. Then our block. Then our city. Finally, we take over THE WORLD!!!!

Morning all. We seem to have another rainy day here. It may do this for three days, but at least the weekend looks okay for now.

Woo - the Red Wings were dominate last night. I hope they kick the Penguins azzez.

JR - you will be okay. I am sure you will settle in okay. You just need time and maybe a job will distract you a bit as you become aware of your new surroundings. Sitting around thinking about it won't help.

Web - I hope he is not one of those "think he knows it all" guys. I can't stand people like that. It is okay to admit that you don't know everything.

Mz - may your internet connection stay strong all day. And may you be superproductive.

Sparky - don't eat the entire bag of oreos today or shove them in you mouth two or three at a time. (Come on, you know you are craving them after telling Ulitmo about them.)

So I am guessing that us having Thursday off is going to be fine. Then my husband comes home yesterday after golfing and states that the girl needs him to pull the horse trailer on Thursday. furious I'm sorry he jumps through hoops for her. This is our week. He says well then she misses a 2nd wk of practice. Well the 1st week was not our fault. But of course I have no say in that department.

Yeah I was happy with how they played! I only yelled at one person I think- lol

I'm sure craving Oreos now. But can't have them right now. Sure sounds yummy though.

Sometimes I try to do things but it just doesn't work out the way I want it to, and I get real frustrated and then like I try hard to do it, and I like, take my time but it just doesn't work out the way I want it to. Its like, I concentrate on it real hard, but it just doesn't work out. And everything I do and everything I try, it never turns out. Its like, I need time to figure these things out, but theres always someone there going hey jd, you know we've been noticing you've been having a lot of problems lately, you know? You need to maybe get away. And like, maybe you should talk about it, you'll feel a lot better. And I'm all like oh, nah, its ok, you know. I'll figure it out. Just leave me alone, I'll figure it out, you know? I'm just working on it by myself. And they go well, you know, if you wanna talk about it, I'll be here, you know? And you'll probably feel a lot better if you talk about it. So why don't you talk about it? I go no, I don't want to! I'm ok. I'll figure it out myself! But they just keep bugging me, they just keep bugging me, and it builds up inside.

So you're gonna be institutionalized. You'll come out brainwashed with bloodshot eyes.
You won't have anything to say. They'll brainwash you until you see their way.

I'm not crazy - institutionalized
You're the one that's crazy - institutionalized
You're driving me crazy - institutionalized
They stuck me in an institution, said it was the only solution
To give me the needed professional help to protect me from the enemy, myself.

I was in my room and I was just like staring at the wall thinking about everything, but then again I was thinking about nothing. And then my mom came in, and I didn't even know she was there. She called my name and I didn't hear her and then she started screaming JD, JD! And I go what? Whats the matter? She goes whats the matter with you? I go theres nothing wrong, mom. Shes all don't tell me that! You're on drugs! I go no mom I'm not on drugs. I'm ok, I'm just thinking, you know? Why don't you get me a Pepsi? She goes No! You're on drugs! I go mom, I'm ok. I'm just thinking. She goes No! You're not thinking, you're on drugs! Normal people don't be acting that way! I go mom, just get me a Pepsi! Please, all I want is a Pepsi! And she wouldn't give it to me! All I wanted was a Pepsi, just one Pepsi, and she wouldn't give it to me! Just a Pepsi!

They give you a white shirt with long sleeves! Tied around your back, you're treated like thieves!
Drug you up because they're lazy! It's too much work to help a crazy!

I'm not crazy - institutionalized
You're the one who's crazy - institutionalized
You're driving me crazy - institutionalized
They stuck me in an institution, said it was the only solution
To give me the needed professional help, to protect me from the enemy, myself.

I'm sitting in my room, when my mom and my dad came in. they pulled up a chair and they sat down. They go JD, we need to talk to you. And I go ok, whats the matter? They go me and your mom, we've noticed that lately you've been having a lot of problems, and you've been going off for no reason, and we're afraid you're going to hurt somebody, and we're afraid you're going to hurt yourself. So we decided that it would be in you're best interest if we put you somewhere where you could get the help that you need. And I go wait, what are you talking about, WE decided? MY best interests? How do you know what MY best interest is? How can you say what MY best interest is? What are you trying to say? I'M crazy? When I went to YOU'RE schools, I went to YOU'RE churches, I went to YOU'RE institutional learning facilities. So after you say I'M crazy?

They say they're gonna fix my brain. Alleviate my suffering and my pain.
But by the time they fix my head. Mentally I'll be dead.

I'm not crazy - institutionalized
You're the one who's crazy - institutionalized
You're driving me crazy - institutionalized
They stuck me in an institution, said it was the only solution
To give me the needed professional help, to protect me from the enemy, myself.

Doesn't matter, I'll probably get hit by a car anyways.

Hey everyone.....

Stopping by quick to read today's post.

JR-- You'll be fine, the reality is, your family is not gone, they are just a hop in the car, or airplane away... yes much further but you can still SEE them that is what is important!

Thanks to MySpace, and internet, cell phones, you really have them w/ you at all times!!

It's still cold and chilly up here in New England. I'm working today, not saying much. They are laying off employees w/ the city I work for this week. My job is safe, ( I think )....

Tah, tah,
D

I know exactly how you feel. Sometimes it helps me learn having to do it by myself and over a couple of times. Although, at other times it can be frustrating.
