I finally got a picture of the (or a) baby bunny thats living in our back yard right now. We first saw him (one of them) a little over a week ago. At that time, he couldn't hop very fast, I was able to keep him herded back to the middle of the yard until my son could get over to see him. He's too fast for me now.
We had a little shower of rain and after the sun came back out, I noticed he was out chomping on a leaf from a fallen tree branch.
As soon as I stepped outside, he dropped his ears and went into "you can't see me if I don't move" mode.
I slowly worked my way towards him and zoomed in. He was as still as a statue.
I finally got too close for his comfort and he hopped over under the lilac bush.
"Tell me, does it move you, Does it soothe you, Does it fill your heart and soul with the roots of rock & roll? When you can't get through it you can listen to it with a 'na na na na', Well I've been there before" -"Been There Before" by Hanson
The gardener here at work walked by and was surprised to see a pile of hay in his flowerbed:
When he moved the hay, this is what he saw:
Here are some adorable close-ups of the babies:
