To avoid any rumours, here's the straight story...

I'm sorry to say that Jennifer & I have already decided that our relationship isn't working, and we've decided mutually to step back from it and just be friends.

I love Jennifer very much, and I believe she loves me as well.

Long distance relationships are indeed hard.  I think we both believed in our hearts that this would work, but the stresses that go along with being apart, and then with coming together proved to be more than we could handle I guess.

We both hold out the hope that maybe spending time as friends will help us to find that special connection we once had and perhaps we'll still wind up as more.  But in the meantime we've decided to move forward.

I'm not sure what I'll be doing.  I may move back to Milwaukee at the end of the summer and try to look at this as a long vacation, or I may take a job here and stay until spring of next year.

We both just wanted to make sure that all of our friends heard this information directly from us and not through gossip.

Well drat. hmm.gif

You both deserve the best and I was hopeful that you had found that with each other.

If its not to be, its not to be, and I still hope for nothing but the best for you both.

Thanks for keeping us in the loop JD. I'm sorry things didn't work out. DRAT pretty much sums it up for me too I think.

Oh well... Shania's back on the market... (Sorry... couldn't help it, I have to throw in something to lighten this sad turn of events.)

Sorry to hear that it's not gone to plan, but what does in this life, I am glad you are gonna stay friends, it would be such a shame to lose the friendship too, I hope you both find happiness, whether it's together or with others.

I commend you both for at least trying... Like I told you when you did move there a few weeks ago; "You are walking on water." ... you have to take risks, and most risks take courage, and you both have a lot of courage, and I totally admire that.

If you had not tried to do what you have done, you would go the rest of your life saying, "what might have been?"...scratching your heads.

So hurray for having the courage to step out of the boat and walk on water, at least you did a lot more than most people would have done. I know I would have never even gotten out of the boat if I was in your shoes.

From here, I wish you both happiness, and thanks for opening up to us JR.

You 2 deserve the best whether that's together or not. With saying that I am hoping that you do indeed allow each other the time to see what happens. You both deserve that. smile

I am just going to say ditto to everything everyone else said.

And as you said, you had to take the chance. You didn't want to be sitting around wondering what might have been.

Best of luck to both of you.

Maybe you will still think about coming up in Sept for the Brewers game. You have a place to stay. With that being said - Go Phils!

I doubt I'd make the trip this year if I stay here Fuzz.  Just because I'd have a new job and whatever vacation I have I'd want to use to go home or have off when people visit me.

BUT, if I decide to move home I'd be doing it around that time.  I'd DEFINATELY consider doing a bigger loop on the way back and seeing a bunch of the east coast ballparks, including the Brewer series at Philly.  smile.gif

Thank you to everyone for their thoughts and well wishessmile

Riggs told me to get in here and post so that people don't think I have been killed and thrown into the back of his van laughing.gif

Riggs and I have developed a friendship that can never be destroyed. He has been someone that I turn to for everything. I have been so blessed to have even met him. We both have discussed that we still love each other very much and we are both so grateful that we are going to maintain our friendship. I can't imagine my life without him in it somehow.

We spent a few hours together last night and we both had a really good time. There were laughs, jokes and the occassional jab at each other. I am cooking dinner for him Saturday night and we will probably watch a movie. I really do enjoy spending time with himsmile

Glad to see you guys too! I feel like I am never home anymore. Hopefully, in the next couple of weeks, I will be home more often and can chat more.

It sounds like to me you guys need to back up instead of move forward. You two sound like an old married couple! laughing.gif

Six days . . . count 'em down.

Yes, I know its hot there. One of your neighbors has been complain, whining, and crying like a baby about the heat for several days now.
