Good Morning all, hope you all have a good day, I am excited to today as our new 'Big Brother' starts tonight, It's still a huge weakness for me, I just can't stop watching it!
No SG, this is just a normal Big Brother, we had a Celeb takeover version a few months back, where celebs were Big Brother for the day, but this is the man show tonight, back to reagular folk.
Morning all. Going to be a muggy day here today; humidity is already at 94% and it's only 8:20 in the morning. It'll be warm today, that's for sure.
Went out and bought some hanging baskets of flowers yesterday and could've sworn I bought 5 but when I got home I only had 4. Checked my receipt, yep, only paid for 4 so now I have to go back and get one more.
My BF has been complaining for a day or so about his toe hurting, this morning he woke up in extreme pain. I am not sure, but both his mom and I think he may have gout. Lord works in mystery ways..... I have always complained about his beer drinking, and that is the #1 cause of gout. We'll have to see, he is scheduled to meet w/ the doctor tomorrow. I don't know how much more of his complaining I can take. I hear it's painful.
Congrats to Woo Hoo, her Detriot Red Wings won the Stanley Cup!!
Morning All. Going to be about 92 here today but only about 80 right now. chance for rain tonight. No Tornado Warnings.
Its a sad day for me as Hilary Rodham Clinton concedes defeat finally. However I will vote for Obama and I would KILL to see a Barrak/Clinton ticket. That would be AWESOME!
I am a happy girl! Today is gonna be a hot one. 88 but the humidity is really bad so it will be more like in the 90's. They have not put our air conditioners in yet. I put a bug in one of the guys ears that I may boycott working. On top of that we are being invaded by big black ants. I majorly have the creepy crawlies!

Morning, I am waiting for a call from the insurance adjuster today, my truck got pummled with hail yesterday at the mall. Thank God for full coverage!!

Sorry to hear about your truck Sparky. That hail can do unbelievable damage.
I got out early today to do my food shopping and some other errands. It was already 82 when I left at 8 AM and humid too. Suppoesed to climb to 99 today. Good day to sit indoors and bask in the glory of Central Air
I'm gonna try to refrain from using the A/C today. I just paid last month's bill and it was $169 cuz we had to use the heat a few times. Not ready to go from a heat bill to an A/C bill right away.
I'm a lil' nervous about that myself Ghost! I haven't gotten the first bill yet, but the air runs almost constantly here. I've gotten in the habit of turning it off while I shower and then leaving it off until it becomes uncomfortable, but that only takes about four hours!
Hey JR, what did ya think of Ghosthunters last night?? Boy, Grant & Jay were really ticked about the restaurant/bar being rigged!! I watched the next Ghosthunters that came on at 10:00....a re-run of the lighthouse in St. Augustine that they investigated. That was pretty cool!!
Congrats woo! sorry about the truck sparky. I'm about to go outside. the national weather service said their was golf ball sized hail at the airport here. I wonder if it came this far north & west. I park outside, I hope my car is ok.
strong thunder and lightning started at 4:45 this am and lasted until 5. then it started up again about 6 and has been off and on ever since. So I have been awake since 4:45.
I don't understand how folks can sleep in thunderstorms. It sounded like bombs going off.

I remember after the Iraq war started JD. I had just watched parts of it on TV, the bombs being dropped on Baghdad.
It was like a night or two later we had a really bad thunderstorm that was shaking things in the house. For a split second I could actually imagine the terror people must feel when those sounds are bombs dropping instead of thunder. It has to be just absolutely horrifying. Never knowing if the next one is going to kill you.
Sleeping through big storms probably depends on how heavy you sleep or how long you have been asleep. I know that when I am in a deeper sleep, I can miss the storms. But there are other times that if it is earlier in my sleep cycle it will wake me up.

still no air conditioners have been put in here yet. No one has even been up here to look at what needs to be done. A few of us have complained now. I may indeed be boycotting. It's not bad yet but it will be

I'm tired. I listened to my friend on the phone (actually Skype) until 12:15 last night, then had a few more things to do after that.
Yes, listened. Thats all I can do with this guy. At one point I had to say "Do you want me to answer your question?" (Yes) "Then please be quiet long enough that I can answer because I'm not going to talk over the top of you." He listened to that one answer, but it didn't phase him, he went right back into constant blab. Probably 4-5 more times after that, I kept getting the same questions over and over. I kept having to say "I'm answering you, but you are not listening to me".
Sorry about your truck, Sparky. A lady my wife works with is in a bind because her car got hailed and the insurance co. wants to total it. The problem is that they are not giving her what its worth or even what she owes on it. They are giving her bottom dollar and her car is (was) much nicer than the bottom end of the range. It has low miles and a bunch of nice custom things that make it worth more.
I hated to do it, but we also went from the furnace running one night to having to turn the A.C. on only two days later. We don't have much choice. My wife has allergies to all the spring goodies that are out here so we have to keep the house pretty much locked up. It seems like whenever we do try to open the house up, we then get a South breeze which brings the feedlot smell in anyway. So, we just give up, keep it closed and pay the utility bill.
The boy is supposed to have another baseball game tonight if its not storming. We're under an area that is supposed to see severe storms today.
