I am having a GOOD or BAD Day because....

HEY!

This might be a bit like the shout box, but here's an idea- complete the sentence and let the other Freeze Frame posters know the good and/or bad time that you are having today- the simple things that made today ok, or something that ruined your mood today

I am having a GOOD DAY because I got a review at work, and it was really good. BUT I am having a bad day because I don't know what my raise will be until Wednesday, and I wholeheartedly and rightfully expected to find this out at my review. Turns out my boss doesn't have a say in the $ aspect of things.

I am having a BAD day because I woke up at 3:30am with a migraine headache.  I spent most of the day in bed "moleing" with my head under the covers so the light doesn't reach me.  I guess its GOOD that it wasn't during the weekend.  :)

Sorry to hear it, StevieB.

I am having a good day because I got the "hot chick" hairsylist. I am having a bad day because she asked me if I ever thought of color treating my hair (to obviously hide the grays)

I am having a good day because I had a very productive day at work. I am having a bad day because it took me 10.42 hours to have a productive day at work.

I'm having a good day because it's Thursday, which is one day closer to Friday, but I'm having a bad day because I have a huge project deadline at 4, a project I've tried to avoid for a few weeks.

I am having a good day because I survived the accident I had on the way in to work on Monday.  I am having a bad day because I was in an accident on the way into work on Monday because a jerk ran a red light and because he was an EMT and knew the cop that worked the accident he won't get a ticket and my dad's insurance (I ride with my dad) will have to pay for my dad's totalled car. $9000 worth of damage so they totalled it today.  My dad loved that car.  I know Jeremy will find this shocking, but I got in the guys face at the accident.    I'm o.k.  Was wearing my seat belt, so only a belt bruise and bruised legs.  No skirts for me this week.  Of course, it's snowing here, so I wouldn't have anyway.  I guess that's another good.

Trish,

I'm so sorry to hear about your accident, WE'RE ALL GLAD you're ok!

I did the same thing about ten years ago.  I had two accidents in about 3 weeks time.  The first one I was rear-ended by a couple of military women.  They were in full fatigues, out on a drinking binge, and rammed right into the back of my car.  I was upset and the woman, who could barely stand up said to me "You should be grateful I'm protecting your country".  Umm, NOT VERY WELL IN MY CASE!

Then like 3 weeks later I'm driving down a road and a woman at a stop sign apparantly thought it was a four way stop (it wasn't) so she pulls out right in front of me and I slam into her driver side door.

I was so p.o'd I got out screaming at her, and she was resting her head on the steering wheel (could have been hurt since I hit her on the driver side), but I was like out of control.  Brand new car, 2 accidents in 3 weeks, neither my fault, the cop threatened to put me in the back seat of his squad with some cuffs on if I didn't shut up.

It wasn't my finest moment But sometimes you just can't help losing your temper when crap like that happens!  I'm MUCH more mellow now though

Did you get checked out after the accident?  Do you have any stiffness or anything?  Are you gonna fight the insurance situation?  Your Dad's insurance company won't want to pay this, if you tell them the facts I'm sure they'd investigate on your behalf.

Trish- I'm glad to hear you're ok.  That's just not the way to start your work week.  Ugh..I hate people who use their titles or jobs to pull rank and not get ticketed/fined etc.  And Jeremy, I can't believe that story about the military women. The nerve of some people.

I feel for your dad and his car.  My ma had an 89 grand am with 173,000 miles.  The baby ran like a champ, never had a thing wrong with it.  I was driving 5 minutes from home when a lady ran a 4 way stop while I was going through the intersection.  I hit her side door, totalled the grand am.  Our whole family loved that car.  The worst part was the lady totally blamed me.  Good news for me though-Others at the intersection stayed around and said she ran the stop sign. It was still very frustrating though.

Thanks guys, I'm fine.  Having grown up on military bases all over the world, you could have had those women in some hot water, Jeremy.  Military people are not allowed to wear their uniforms out on a drinking binge.  It disgraces the uniform and they could have been reprimanded severely by their commanding officer and they should have been.  My dad wouldn't even stop at the store for me on his way home from work because it violated the rules (and my dad was nothing, if not a stickler for the rules.  I was once grounded for two weeks because a guy picked me up for school and my dad said their was no way I could have possibly been wearing a seat belt because I was sitting WAY too close.  A stickler for the rules, but funny as h - e- double hockey sticks.  He truly does rock as a dad.)

Somechick, I know what you mean.  Why is it that when people are at fault, they blame the younger person and expect everyone to agree with them, even when everyone knows they are wrong?

We've all survived and we're good.  We listen to the best station anywhere and we have the best people on boards.  Thanks for your concern guys, I feel like I'm with family.  Only better.

man- a reminder to be as careful as you can out there!

I remember one time when I was a kid, 6-7 yrs old and my folks caught me riding my bike in the street and they took it away for a week. I was so mad: "I KNOW WHEN CARS ARE COMING!! I'M NOT DUMB!!" And my dad said" Oh, we trust you. We just don't trust the idiots behind the wheel." Good point, I never forgot that...

I'm having a Bad Day because my mailbox at work had invoices I have to process, but I'm Having a Good... No AWESOME day that my mailbox had my prize from the last Freeze Frame Contest!

How killer is that?  Thanks Jeremy, JD and everyone on the boards.  The last contest was a blast, and these cds I got are too cool for school!

I'm having a good day for two reasons...we're having free company paid for pizza for lunch today and cake and my husband usually works midnights, but he's on day shift for this week only while he's doing training and we will actually be able to see each other for more than four hours at a time and sleep in the same bed for SIX nights in a row.

I'm having a bad day because...the reason we're having free company paid for pizza is because one of main people is being activated and is going to Iraq.  I know you guys are great, pray for his safety.

I'm having a good day because I got my CD and magnets in the mail and I love them! I'm having a bad day because my son saw that it was Bon Jovi and snagged it and took it away to his room where I will probably never see it again. My ten year old is such a metal head. He loves Judas Priest, Bon Jovi, Whitesnake, etc. I guess that makes it a good day. A bad day would be if he was into rap.

Yes!  Be happy he likes the metal!  Quite innocent compared to the rap of the day!

Yeah!  Let's hear it for an involved dad!    Congrats on your baby.  I miss the baby age.

I always laughed at my mom when she would get all teary eyed and say we grew up too fast.  In my eyes, time passed too slowly and I couldn't wait until I was 16...18...21.  Reality set in with my first child.  When my son turned one, I spent a lot of the day bawling.  I just couldn't believe he was one year old already.  That was the year that I found out my mom and dad are the wisest people in the universe.  Wow, what a switch from 16 and thinking they knew squat about MY life.

I am having a good day because I am heading out to brunch, then to the cd store to see if I can blow some cash, then later heading over to the studio for another Underground 80s and Jazz 101 (see trish for times ).  I am having a BAD day because its like 3 dang degrees outside to have to go do all this stuff!

I'm having a bad day because I was late for church and had to stand in the back with my four year old begging to go sit by Grandma.  I'm have a good day because I'm going to try something new today.  I usually walk later in the evening, but tonight I'm going to log my miles listening to Underground 80's from 7 to 8 p.m.  After that, from 8 to midnight I'll unwind from my walk and relax my muscles with a glass of fine wine and some jazz.  Sounds like a good way to end the day.  Where's my jazz hat?
