RE: I am having a GOOD or BAD Day because....

Sorry to hear about your rough day DOVETAILS,

I was wondering what happened to your avatar, I guess it's on your server huh?

Hopefully everything will be up and running soon!

Man Dovetails, that SUCKS! I sure hope they will credit you for downtime and not bill you for service.

Wow..talk about your bad days.  Dovetails I hope today ends up better for you.  That's just terrible.

In the grand scheme of things, my day is a cakewalk.  3 of my 5 bosses are out today, and it's Thursday, which is one day closer to Friday.

Good luck Dovetails.  We're all pulling for you.

I thought I'd post this on behalf of Larry Green, the South Carolina man who TRULY was having a BAD AND a GOOD day!

RALEIGH, N.C. - A medical examiner studying a body in a morgue was startled when the man took a shallow breath.

Emergency medical technicians had declared 29-year-old Larry D. Green dead almost two hours earlier, after he was hit by a car.

Medical examiner J.B. Perdue was called to the accident scene Monday but did not examine Green then. Later, he was documenting Green’s injuries when he noticed the man was breathing.

“I had to look twice myself just to make sure it was there, that’s how subtle it was,” Perdue said.

Green, 29, was taken to Duke University Medical Center in Durham, where he was in critical condition Wednesday.

Several members of the Franklin County emergency medical service have been suspended pending an investigation, said Darnell Batton, the county attorney.

I wonder what his cap for medical malpractice will be?  Do you think being declared dead is worth more than $250,000?

I would say it depends on how far they got on the autopsy

Hey, my avitar is back!

Thanks for your concerns. It was a much better day today but yesterday stunk all the way to the end. I think everything that could have gone wrong did, even up to last night. After 38 hours straight with no sleep, the server was running well enough I could go to bed for a few hours. I was on my way to bed when our son was playing ball with the dog, slipped, and hit his head on a brick planter here in our house. Two more hours at the ER and three stitches later, the day was finally over. Thankfully, he is fine and if there is a scar, it will be just above his hair line.

Today was good. The last few bugs got squashed, and at this moment, there are no known server problems. I still have to recompile a custom kernel, but other than that we're back to normal.

Thanks for riding along!

I am having a bad day because the issue of my impending raise at work was avoided like the plague, I had to wipe the butt of someone who took a dump on a project and ticked off a customer who thought it was my call, and Underground 80's was unable to be rebroadcast due to technical difficulties. Let me tell you, ain't nothing like a high-end mud sauce to top your serving of dirt.

I recommend requesting "I Don't Care Anymore" by Phil Collins on Freeze-Frame radio and turning it way up!

Understood.

Half a day of Mo is better than no Mo at all.  That's what we always say.

Well, actually, we've never really SAID that, but I think it's kind of an unspoken truth among everyone here at the Freeze-Frame Studios.

Well, maybe not, but get off my case okay!  I'm just trying to pump some sunshine up your skirt and raise your spirits!  Geez!  You're so combative!

Actually, the pessimist in my head was responding to each of those responses"....Yeah, you ALWAYS say that...(oh look he responded)...Yeah right I'm sure my name comes up in Freeze-frame...(oh look he responded again)...gosh he's reading my mind...& i guess I am being a little combative...."

I've said this before too...you ought to look into the psychic friends network

We DO have and are licensed to use an official crystal ball here at Freeze-Frame.  We haven't opened up the box of Voodoo dolls yet, but the minute we see the listener numbers drop......

Speaking of reading minds, that's a nice segue into a new topic I was about to start.

Has anyone noticed how intuitive those google ads at the top of the forum are?  It was freaking me out for a while, because I didn't realize a word had appeared in one of the posts that triggered the ads, I was thinking "HEY, how wierd, I was just THINKING about that and now there's ads for it".

They take any word from the post and use it, even when it's not the main point of the post.

For example, one of the posters was talking about his buddies nasty Copenhagen habit and the ads at the top say "QUIT SKOAL" and other related stuff.

Big Brother has found the internet, and he's using it to try and sell us crap!

I saw that Ad too, but I didn't realize why it had popped up there,

I wonder what ads we might get in the "Monday Treat" thread now...that could be a doozey

*edit* I just checked there..apparently it's not flawless...it took the word Aural, or Aurally, and turned it into ads for "Aerial" stuff....BTW I posted this here & not there just so that post wouldn't be influenced when I typed Aerial" *edit*

Thanks Stevie- on the off chance I simply get in and head west, come hell or haywire, I'll make a point of stopping by Idaho, picking you up, and we'll head back to the freezeframe studio for a stevieb.day. I am guessing wisconsin to idaho and back in this car might take us 6 hrs, tops. It was not ever sadness that caused me to snap, but joy!

I'm having a bad couple of days because I'm so busy that I can't ever catch the bingo numbers.  Missed all of yesterdays and probably one of today's already.  Keep missing my songs that I request and I'm just plain annoyed.  Cripes, will the MADNESS (and work) never end?!?!?!?

I'm having a good day because the music that I am able to catch has been especially good today.

Hey, Ultimo, heard that Ryan Adams song this morning about the house not being for sale and I love it!  I figured you probably requested it.  Good job!

Yep, me too.  I was in meetings most of the day yesterday and then when I hooked up last night I didn't catch any of the numbers.  Then, I left my BINGO card at home this morning by the computer and haven't been able to catch any of them today.  I have my post it note ready.  TGIW..........

I've been listening but haven't heard any numbers yet....don't think I missed em...just don't think riggs has been around....boy...I don't think i'm gonna be able to keep up with this for a year.....I think he should just pre record 3 numbers (or a whole bunch at 1 time) then set them in the play list to play randomly during the 10-3 time....maybe 0nce every 45 min...and play all 3 back to back around 3....just a little recording at night....no hassles during the day....If he happens to be in during the day, then skip the recordings....thoughts?

I like MO's suggestion of prerecording them and then randomly playing the recording in the playlist.
