I think I'm FINALLY on normal schedule To bed by 12:30 and up at 7:30.
There's a wildfire on the east coast consuming 40,000 acres. They say it may burn all summer. Today we're actually getting smoke here, even though we're 150 miles or so inland! They have us under an orange air quality warning, with is basically the second worst on a scale of five. I gotta say, I did not expect wildfires when I moved to NC. I thought that was a western states kind of thing.
On the opposite end of the scale, we'll be getting storms today. More water, yay!
I'm hoping for a calm day. Hopefully everyone is superstitious and stayed home today. (I wish I would've thought ahead and wore all black today, instead I got dressed as normal and am in a cheery spring/summery outfit.)
Well Happy Friday The 13th. I hope this day turns around but so far it's not good. We have storms too. The sky is pretty much black. I wonder if we will lose power?

Good morning all. JR, glad to hear you're finally getting some sleep. There's nothing worse than not being able to sleep at night.
We have a chance of severe storms later today, and as muggy as it is this morning, I'd say we're probably going to get them.
I read something in last night's newspaper that kind of ticked me off. It seems my county wants to put a tax proposal on the November ballet to help subsidize health insurance for people in my county that don't have any. If it passes, my property taxes will increase by $125.00 a year!! While I really feel for people that don't have health insurance, I sure as heck can't afford any more taxes like this. We already pay over $2,000 a year in property taxes. I sure hope the voters in my county are paying attention when they vote in November!!
Happy Friday the 13th all. The number 13 is usually very good to me, although I can't say that anything has really happened on Friday the 13th in the last number of years. But it is paycheck Friday. That always makes it better. I guess.

Thanks Sandy. But I have to admit I could think of a FEW worse things.
Like, if I were to get my arm caught in an industrial meat grinder and gnaw off the arm up to the shoulder so all I had left was a bloody, shredded stump. Now THAT would be worse.
hello from a waterlogged milwaukee. well actually it sounds like we don't have it all that bad in comparison to some of the communities further north and northwest of here. It sounds like just a ton of roads are washed out up near the Fon du Lac area, and many more communities are hoping their dams hold up.
I lost power sometime during the eveining. I woke up at 2:30 am and saw that I had to reset the digital clocks. The lady upstairs, who usually gets up at 6 am, must have not noticed, because at about 8 am, I heard all kinds of panicky and quick-running footsteps. She musta been totally late for work.

I dont suffer from that either nor do I suffer from paraskavedekatriaphobia.
I dont feel very well today...not sure why. Just kinda blah...yet kinda hungry too. I think I will find some food.
Also T&P for Kas please. She is still in bad shape...actually much worse than before. She has had something like 30+ strokes. She oiginally just had the eye thing going on...then had a stroke that she was out of the hospital the next day. Then on her birthday she had another stroke and several TIA's. A little over a week ago she woke up and couldnt move, Mont (in a wheel chair had to crawl over her to get the phone to call 911. She has been in the hospital since and will be going to a nursing home after that. She can walk again and talk but needs alot of physical therapy. They are giving her Chemo to try to stop the plaque in her brain and it seems to be working. She called me on Wednesday and I was amazed at how bad she was still and they kept telling me she was alot better. Kas is a very quick person...a true smartazz. She never had to think about what to say....she had to try to say hi Kendra this is Kasondra. I kept it together until I hung up.... anyway she really needs some T&P. If you would like to send her a message go to www.rcrh.org and click patient email. Her name is Kasondra Singleton.
