Dig a little deeper today?

I'm gonna be in the studio for the next hour or two.  Anyone wanna go a little deeper into our vast catalog of 5500 CD's and pick some album cuts to be played?

Maybe a song you know about that most of us don't?

Send me a PM with the artist, song title and album.  If you have an explanation for why you want it played go ahead and mention that too and I'll announce it before I play it.

Thanks Riggs!

FYI, for everyone, here are the lyrics:

If I could have what I want I'll just want what I've got
I told myself a million times that's the truth but it's not
I could give you some lessons on how to cry all night
I know the hurting's only started and it might never stop

[Oh angeline] you want some help from me now
Now since he left you alone
Don't say it ain't so, 'cause you traded me for him
Not so long ago

You were everything to me
You were everything to me
I don't know why but your pain
Is such a pleasure to see
So baby tell me everything

So pardon me if I don't cry 'cause your love is on the shelf
After all, you're so good at looking out for yourself
You might hate me for saying so but that's all right
You can hate the whole world but it ain't gonna help

[Oh, angeline] you're only wasting your time
Looking for my sympathy
I hope you're satisfied ' cause I only wanna laugh
When I hear you cry

You were everything to me
You were everything to me
Now he's done it to you
Like you did it to me
So baby tell me everything

I guess you never thought that you'd be falling in love
You've lost everything that you're dreaming of
I can't let you go without letting you know

You were everything to me
You were everything to me
I don't know why but your pain
Is such a pleasure to see
So baby tell me everything

Baby tell me everything (everything to me)
Baby tell me everything
Someone did it to you like you did it to me
So baby tell me everything

Great song!

One song I have been "itching" to hear is Gold by Stevie Nicks. I am a HUGE Stevie Nicks fan, and this is one of my favorite songs. The beat is hard to touch!

You mean John Stewart's with Stevie on duet vocals?  That is great!

I would love to hear "The Tide Is Turning" from Roger Waters' "Radio KAOS". (And I think MZ would too!) This is a wonderful song, inspired by the great event LIVE AID. Thanks, Riggs!

I used to think the world was flat
Rarely threw my hat into the crowd
I felt I had used up my quota of yearning
Used to look in on the children at night
In the glow of their Donald Duck light
And frighten myself with the thought of my little ones burning
But, oh, oh, oh, the tide is turning
The tide is turning

Satellite buzzing through the endless night
Exclusive to moonshots and world title fights
Jesus Christ, imagine what it must be earning
Who is the strongest
Who is the best
Who holds the aces
The East
Or the West
This is the crap our children are learning
But oh, oh, oh, the tide is turning
Oh, oh, oh, the tide is turning
The tide is turning
Oh, oh, oh, the tide is turning

Now the satellite's confused
'Cause on Saturday night
The airwaves were full of compassion and light
And his silicon heart
Warmed to the sight of a billion candles burning
Oh, oh, oh, the tide is turning
Oh, oh, oh, the tide is turning
The tide is turning Billy

I'm not saying that the battle is won
But on Saturday night all those kids in the sun
Wrested technology's sword from the hand of the war lords
Oh, oh, oh, the tide is turning
Oh, oh, oh, the tide is turning
The tide is turning Sylvester
Oh, oh, oh, the tide is turning

Cute song.  I'd never heard it before.  Gets you moving.

You're just about the only person that didn't get a request in D. I was really happy with the response. Even Ruby, Disco Strangler and T-Gal got some in!

That's because after I play them I have to delete them or they'll stay in the system.

Which wouldn't be a big deal, but they were coming off an external hard drive on another computer so I don't like to keep them linked. Down the road it could become a real mess if I did leave em' linked.

EXCELLENT!

I've really gotten into a great groove here. An early afternoon workout and an evening workout. As Dylan would say "Two a days" (he's such a football nut)

It's nice not having distractions. No one asking me to go out to eat every day like in Milwaukee. I can really focus on getting in shape.

You may have inspired me to go to the gym this afternoon to play some basketball...I usually go in on Saturday and Sunday and three days in a row can kill an old guy like me!
