Since I've been applying for work online lately CareerBuilder.com sends me a weekly list of new jobs that closely match what they think I'm qualified for.
Top three in this weeks email....
Fork Lift Operator
Tow Truck Driver
Behavioral Health Professional
One of these things doesn't seem to belong! I don't know the first thing about operating a fork lift
I hate Monster and Career Builder and all those websites. I never had any luck finding real jobs on them. It was places that had suck high turnaround that they have to advertise everywhere just for warm bodies (mostly sales and call center positions), work at home scams, or pharmaceutical reps.
I find that the bulk of jobs that would interest me or that I would be qualified for are posted through headhunters. I hate dealing with them. I understand why most companies don't post the positions on their own. They want a middle man to deal with everything and just have the truly qualified candidates sent their way.
