Summer Concerts I Can't Wait to See...

So what are the summer concerts you're psyched to go see? With the festival lineups coming out, I'm interested to hear what everyone's planning!

I'm going to the Harley-Davidson 105th, so I really want to see Los Lonely Boys, ZZ Top, and Black Crowes. Maybe I'll go see Puddle of Mudd, but I have tickets on the way for Bruce Springsteen that same night! clap.gif

At Summerfest I want to catch Earth Wind & Fire.

Washington COunty Fair will have Blues Traveller, Collective Soul and Live one night, then Styx and Boston the next.

The Waukesha COunty Fair will have Soul Asylum & Everclear, and Tesla.

I'm gonna have fun this summer! biggrin

me and my good buddy mot are gonna go down to the RUSH show the 2nd night of summerfest. that will be our annual drink your weight in beer and remember the good old days night at summerfest. looking forward to that.

my buddy craiger will call, as he does, once a year, and we will set up a summerfest show date. maybe stone temple pilots? I'm not sure, whatever he wants to do, I will be there. its tradition. STP is on the 4th, and my friends the invaders are playing a day show then, so maybe, but we'll see.

I think earth wind and fire will be just awesome.

black crowes, zz top at the harley thang, but then Bruce. Bruce will kick your head in with how great he is. He plays that guitar like its a jackhammer. AMEN!! headbang.gif

good shows!!!smile.gif

I'm still thinking about going to Crue Fest, but we'll see; not sure if my friends are still keen on going.  Outside of this, I really don't know what shows I'll be seeing.  There isn't a whole lot going on in my area this summer.....everything's going down to the Palace in Auburn Hills.  cry  My daughter is heading there to see Nine Inch Nails.....her boyfriend bought tickets as her birthday present from him.  I wanna go!!!

Altered Skin Revolution (an all day concert sponsored by our local tat parlor) will be here in a couple more weeks.  Last year they had Puddle of Mudd and Kitty come, but so far, no headliners have been announced. So I'll probably be checking out the local acts this summer.

I just have one show planned...Sheryl Crow in August, but I would love to see John Mayer too.  Always too many good shows here in Milwaukee with Summerfest and all.

I will do it! It is funny, I have not had a chance to listen to a lot of her stuff...I have two girlfriends that are going, and I liked the sound of Shelby Lynne so I said I would go too! I think I will really enjoy it!

I don't really do the concert thing. It is sad to say that I really haven't been to a real concert. I am sure there are plenty that would be fun and interesting.

That being said, boy's birthday is in early August and for his present I have bought him tickets to the Allman Brothers/Rat Dog & Bob Weir show. He is a big Grateful Dead fan and loves the Allmans too.

I saw her live before she went with the Poptart look - back when she was going for the country image.  I didn't like her at all.  But I'm not a big fan of hers anyway.

Fuzzy, your first concert could be an LND concert.  You could even shake a tambourine on stage if you like.

This summer I've seen:
KIX (phenomenal, as always)

Will be going to:
Lita Ford
ROCKLAHOMA
Hopefully Motley Crue
Hopefully "Styx" & "Boston" (to see my beloved Michael Sweet)
Hopefully Black Sabbath / Judas Priest / Motorhead
Hopefully Journey / Heart / Cheap Trick

That's all that I know of for now.

You might be able to catch an online concert this fall if all goes well.

It is not the same as being there.

Guess I have to win the lottery to afford the airfare and tickets to the show.

We are all poor. These things happen. Besides, is WI really a place to vacation?

Woo that didn't sound like a glowing testimonial.

Fuzzy...you live in a town that pelted Santa with snowballs.  Anything has got to be an improvement.

JD, I noticed your mullet needed a trim.  I have the clippers ready if you need em.

Woo - I was just asking was all. I don't know what is there to see (besides my Phillies rolling into town, over the Brewers and back out of town). wink

JD - Isn't West Allis just a tiny 10 feet by 10 feet town? What can it take, all of 30 seconds? You know, we do have an office located there. I wonder if I could possibly make a "work" trip to it.
