Happy Thursday to you too Ultimo!! Nice to see you this morning.

Well, puzzle is getting there, I'm about a quarter of the way there. I found that last piece that made up the frame of it too!!

It must be Thursday. Finally. It's felt like Thursday all week. Except now that it is Thursday. Now it feels like Friday.

But I'm optimistic. I've got me a Triple Venti Latte, to make it through the morning, and a Doubleshot in the fridge for the afternoon. I'm going to get completely caught up today.

Sometimes I have trouble accounting for myself. I think it is going to be one of those long, boss gives me a lot of work I don't want to do days.

MAYDAY!"

i'm telling y'all... the kid cracks me up!

Last night, someone who parks out back must have had a car towed for parking in the wrong spot or repo'd. I woke up at 2:15 to the sounds of squeaking truck brakes and a revving engine. at first I thought it was a freaking garbage truck & I was dreaming.
I live at the front of the building. I can't imagine those who live in the back were all that pleased with the really loud squeaking brakes at that time in the morning, much less someone discovering their car gone today.

At 2:15 in the morning I would lean more towards being repopped. Last summer we were sitting around with 6 or 7 of our neighbors at about 10:00 at night watching another neighbors car being repopped. The girl worked with AC's mom and said she was so embarrased because she saw us all staring.

I'm guessing you are right sparky. I recognize a couple of the cars that usually park out there; I'll have to see if I notice one not there anymore. lol watch people go and bid with the landlord on the parking spot now....biggrin

There's a TV show called

Repo Man: Stealing For a Living
Reality/documentary special about men and women who repossess everything from cars to luxury yachts.

anyone seen it, it's actually funny.

I agree. At 2am, better chance it is a repo and not someone calling for a tow because the car won't start.

well it COULD have been someone coming home late to find someone else parked in their spot, ticked them off, so they had them towed. but I don't recall hearing any words or a car pulling in after the truck took off. repo!smile

darling I heard of that show but never saw it tho. smile

Good day to all! I just came back form the sneak peak of the Harley-Davidson Museum. Very cool! They had the Captain America bike on display from Easy Rider, the King Kong bike, the Rhinestone Bike and one of Elvis' bikes on display among others. I saw this really cool video about women in the military during WWII who were trained to ride so they could act as couriers for supplies in rough terrain. I spent hours there - it was some much needed fun with all the tension going on around here.

I wonder how many Captain America bikes there are? The Sturgis Museum has one and so does one of the Casinos in Deadwood and they both have certificates of authenticity? weirdface.gifconfused.gif

The roof is . . . done! Yay!

I decided to let Mrs Web take care of the boy this morning and I got up and came out to see what I could get done while it was still cool. I started about 7:00 and got 35 bundles of shingles up and distributed over the roof before the guys got here. They were happy to see that done. I thought we were going to get rained out but it just very slowly sprinkled cold rain for about 3 hours. It was really nice shingling weather. We had a nice cool breeze, clouds to block the sun, and some cold rain drops now and then.

The roof looks good. Now some of the other things are looking bad like a couple steel doors that are getting some rust showing through the paint, door jambs that are rotting by the ground around the overhead doors, trim around the windows needing painted, etc. I talked to my wife about it and she agrees that I should take the time to go ahead and do those things to make the place look better and help protect the investment.

Work on.

Good job by you Web. Make sure you update your to do list. Sounds like you have a few small (compared to the roof) jobs to complete.

The Harley-Davidson Museum has a replica. Actually, there were 2 actual Captain America bikes used in the movie. Of the movie bikes, one was destroyed and one has never been located. That's what Archives tells us anyway. The Archives some years ago was sanctioned to create the replica as an icon of the movie and an authentic H-D bike.
