It's definately a labor of love right now, but I'm proud to say we get enough VIP listeners from Live365 to almost completely cover our royalty fees, so the only losses are in time spent and advertising.
At some point we'll start accepting advertising on the website and VERY LIMITED advertising on the air (more like a sponsership than your typical 30 second audio ad), and hopefully that will keep the station growing and out of debt.
The first key is to get people like you to tune in! So we can show potential advertisers how many hours our station is listened to. Then we'll be able to start saying stuff like "It's the T-10 countdown, brough to you by the fine people at Subway Subshops"
I see . . . I was looking at the costs (for my church) to stream through Live365 and it's not cheap. I thought it's gotta either be a labor of love, or there's something hidden that I can't see. I didn't think there could be that much income from afilliate cd sales.
If listening will help, I'll see what I can do!
Thanks again!
