It's true, this is the first summer weekend and like clock work, everyone has disappeared!

Incredible.  THREE THREADS yesterday?!?  None yet today.

Aaaah, summer's here and the yearly abandoning of the FFR Forum has begun.  Try not to get TOO much sun you guys.  You know it can be dangerous!

I was exhausted enough last night that I finally slept again.  Although I went to bed at midnight and even though I was so tired I couldn't fall asleep until 2.

Today I'm gonna work on the station a bit, and tonight during JD's shows I'm going to have him debut a new feature that will eventually run on Fridays here at FFR.  It's a DVD Review show that I'm working on setting up a blog for.

Just another shameless attempt at some free advertising for FFR.  smile.gif  I figure having a blog out there, being stumbled upon by people, might bring them to FFR.

We'll see if my logic is correct.

Aight, everyone have a great day.  Hopefully I'll catch some of you later.

Oooooh, I almost forgot.  I'm making Strawberry Crepes for breakfast hungry.gif  My first time trying to make em'!  Hopefully it'll go better than the home made hamburger buns did.  (They were tasty, but there weren't no hamburger buns, more like biscuits).

That's a good sign... your listeners/forum members are healthy and active. As you may recall, we folks in WI have a very narrow window in which to enjoy outdoor activities.
I spent all of yesterday outside. Junkyard during the day and bonfire at night!
Today, yard work, painting and grill with the parents on my patio later. If I can sneak away, I'll check JD's shows. I've got some busy work to do in my art room.

Good morning'

Yay, the new drum mic I put on the congas here at church sounds good. Its doing much better than the regular vocal mic we were using before. I'll have to listen to the recordings over the next couple weeks to get the level set right, but I think its going to work.

We go live in 15 minutes (10:45 am). smile.gif

what odd weather today. sunny and beautiful and then sudden torrential downpour and winds. then sunny and beautiful and then sudden torrential downpour and winds.

yesterday morning, I was out watering the garden. a robin flew down onto the walkway and started walking towards me. so I sprayed the thing (with a relatively fine mist) and the thing liked it. it was like its very own birdbath or something. raised its head to drink some of the water too even. that was kinda fun.

Happy Summer everyone!!!!  biggrin  Went to the cabin for the weekend, got home today and went to a cook out at my dad's.....brats and dogs...yummy!!  Watched the last of the Tigers/Padres ball game while we ate......I'm not much on sports but glad to see Detroit win today! smile  We were supposed to eat outside, but mother nature had other plans.....started pouring as soon as the meat came off the grill.  hmm

Anyway, feel rested, relaxed, and ready to rock out for a bit tonight.  biggrin

Awesome Sandy! It sounds like you had a great weekend!I went to my sister's grad party yesterday, and it was so nice to see her just glowing with her accomplishments! Way too much food was prepared, of course, so  my grandma, my bf and I walked away with way too much food in our bellies and packed up for us to take home! laughing.gif

I'm just chilling out and enjoying the shows tonite!

Yes, and she already is getting started by teaching summer school! She's got a job teaching 4th grade math for the summer. laughing.gif Every boy in that class will likely be swooning over Ms. Tara.

I still can't believe it...my baby sis is a teacher! Wow! I have so much respect for teachers - it is through their passion that they nurture young minds - and for that I am so proud of Tara! aww  OK, enough of my gushing now. {{lol}}

Yes, she just got it about a week ago. I know, it's funny...I don't think math is her favorite subject, but she's really excited about doing it. I think she's just eager to get some experience on her own, without the constraints of being a teaching assistant like you do while you're in school.

I could help my girls with their math homework up through the 8th grade, then they lost me during high school.  I don't understand what the heck my youngest is doing in her math homework, and the teachers will tell parents right out nowdays, "if you aren't in the class every day while it's being taught, there is no way you can help your child with today's math."  no.gif  Totally different way of doing it from the way I was taught.

I wish I COULD say I'm having so much fun on the weekends that I can't be here, but I worked a wedding yesterday 3 till 11PM and I worked a GOLF outing today 11 AM till 8PM .... long day, long weekend!!! But money in my wallet, which is nice!!

Hey all.  I don't want you to think I'm a freak for lurking around but not talking.

I'm actually watching and listening, but I'm in an online pool tournament, so I only get about 30 seconds at a time to check this, the baseball score, the radar (storms in the area) and twitter.

It took me four turns to write this so far!

Nah! What have I got to pout about? Relaxing music, beautiful "window open" kind of night with some light showers in the air, french fries in the oven... Life is good smile.gif Oh, and I'm up to $115,000 in the poker game (not real money obviously)
