We went to Ansley Nebraska for a ball game tonight. Its 16 miles from here.

Their football and baseball fields are surrounded by a "lake" (large pond). Just as we got there, some high school kids were freaking out. One of the kids parked a van on the slope down towards the lake. He swears he put it in park, but for some reason, the van rolled into the lake. When we got there, the boys were about 10 feet out from the shore and they were waist deep in water. They were standing on the roof of the van.

During the game, a loader came and they got a chain hooked to the van and got it back up out of the water.

If anyone wants to buy used van, I bet I know where you can get one really cheap.

Hope it wasn't daddy's van in the lake!! 

My brother put my dad's car in a lake once....the tranny went out and the car didn't stay in park.....rolled right into the lake backwards.  For once, I wasn't the one that was in trouble.  hehehe!!!! biggrin

I would have gotten pics, but by the time the loader got there to pull it out, we were well into the game and I'm an assistant coach so I had to stay in the game to help the kids.

I heard talk that it was grandma's van.

I had to laugh because the kid was most freaked out the fact that his cell phone was still in the van.
