I used one of those stupid registry cleaners.

First it deleted a bunch of unused keys from the registry

then it asked if I wanted to scan for duplicate files,  over a thousand came up.  it asked if I wanted it to delete the duplicates, I said SURE, WHY NOT!

Next time I tried to boot up windows said essential files were missing hmm.gif

JD, you gotta be careful that you're not taking too much iron. In everything I've read, it says that most men don't need iron supplements because your body makes it on it's own. That's why most men's vitamins don't have iron.

JR, too bad you couldn't just do a system restore. But from now on, don't rely on your computer to keep your bookmarks. Switch to Del.icio.us.  There's even Firefox add ons where it will add a menu item.  And, I used to keep stuff in folders in my bookmarks folder, but on Del.icio.us you can just tag them.  And you can search your bookmarks.  Trust me, you'll love it.

MZ,

I was working on setting up a blog this weekend and it had De.Lic.us or whatever it is.

I didn't know what it was about so I went to check it out.  I thought "cool, this could really be useful in the event of a crash.  I'll have to look more into it later."

Lesson is.  Don't put off until tomorrow what you could do today cry.gif

I think it imported my Firefox bookmarks for me too. I won't go back to regular ol' bookmarks.

the one girl at Chipolte really sounds like a Spanglish Speaking Minnie Mouse. Everyone really needs to pay attention to what she's saying or else  you will completely miss every word. By now I know the drill and can answer her questions without actually hearing or understanding each word, because its usually the same 3 questions. Unless she's on register duty. Those are a different set of questions that I don't understand, but it seems like "all set." is an answer that works for each of the questions.

A lot can happen in an hour.

During lunch, a friend called very upset because he just had to put his 10 year old Brittney Spaniel down due to pancreatitis.

Our newspaper office is burning somewhere inside and the firemen are working on that.

We got an offer on my mother-in-law's house. The offer is considerably less than the asking price, but its still more than what the market analysis showed. We know the people (an older, retired couple) and we know they will take good care of the place. My wife is going to talk with her brother and they will decided tonight if they are going to accept the offer.

Lets see what the next hour brings.
