But the thing is they are not being lippy... you can hardly hear what they are saying. If they are being lippy it's a quiet lippy... And he goes overboard w/ the "dude" thing.... all kids say that, I'm sure it came out accidental.
i just think that throwing the kid to the ground is a bit excessive. it's not like he was trying to run away from the cop, so therefore there was no warrant for that type of force. the story would have played out the same if the kid he was talking to would have "shut up and listen(ed)" because then the cop would have seen his lack of response as also being disrespectful. the cop being the adult could have handled the situation differently and in a more calm manner. he obviously used his authority improperly and excessively in this situation.
who knows... maybe he didn't get laid that morning...

Funny you say that! I work w/ cops as you know, and most of them show the kids respect. They try to be a "role model" for them..... not act like a cop that has been shot at! Geez, this guy is just a bit over the top, and I usually stick up for the cop's behaivor.
