I'm always the first to gripe when the city of Milwaukee or the state of Wisconsin does something I find annoying.
So it's only fair I give em' a slap on the back when something goes right!
The four (or was it five?) year project to rebuild the Marquetter interchange is going to be finished two months early and MILLIONS under budget!!!
Not often you hear news like this! I can't wait to come back and see the final results.
------------
Every last freeway lane and ramp in the Marquette Interchange will open for traffic on Aug. 30, roughly two months ahead of the schedule for a project that also will come in millions of dollars under budget, Gov. Jim Doyle said Tuesday.
Wow, that sounds like it was a major project if it took that long to complete. Hopefully, they won't be like MI and start tearing it up next summer to do more work on it. I think MI does this just to p*ss us all off during the summer driving months. It's gotta be the orange cone and barrel capital of the US.
