I'll have to pm you some other things.  I won't put them here.  I don't even like to think about them.  I'm just glad I got outta there safely.

I just read your story. I'd like to know the rest too. I thought I had experience with ghosts but OMG! You got it worse! And why do the chairs always end up on top of tables?

I don't know Woo......I know there are poltergeists, and I'm thinking I had a couple different ones in that apartment.  They did a lot of things to frighten me.  I'm glad I wasn't the only one that was experiencing it though because I thought I was losing my friggin' mind at first.

I'm a big fan of Ghosthunters since JR told me about that show, but I do have a couple of disagreements with them.  They claim ghosts, hauntings, etc. can't hurt you, but they're wrong about that.  You can be hurt by them, especially if they don't want you there.  And not all hauntings are as innocuous as they make them out to be.....if someone died violently, there are going to be "memories" left behind that can be experienced by the living.

Wasn't that amazing Woo? I've had ghost stories in the family, but never anything like that.

It was amazing and horrible. I cannot imagine something so bad. I grew up with ghosts in my house- well on my street- as it seemed we all had something extra in our houses. I still wonder what those houses were built on- but being that young and on your own, I would have went out of my mind!!

You have a couple self-standing blogs too right MZ? Or do those just duplicate what you have in MySpace?

I've read your dream blog a couple times since I signed up for Twitter.

I don't use the MySpace blog any more. I only have one blog now, blog.hartzdesign.com. The dream blog is my only blog, though I still put a lot of other stuff on there than just dreams. I'm pretty proud of updating it on a regular basis now.

mz could you copy/paste that blog into your myspace blog? I still like reading my blog friends blogs there. I don't really look anywhere else, I don't twitter.....etc no.gif

I've thought about doing that JD, but since I post on a daily basis, really it's not worth the time.  I don't even post the Twitter messages, I have a service that does that for me.  I've tried to use the RSS feed to automatically post to MySpace, but I haven't figured out a way to do that yet.

I switched because it didn't look like anyone was reading the MySpace blog as it was.  After I went to a conference on blogging, I found out about all the benefits that I was missing out on when I was using other blogging services.  A lot of it has to do with actually showing up in search engines.  If search engines start tracking MySpace blogs and I put the same post in there, I'm afraid it'll look like I'm trying to cheat the system, and it won't index either one.

If you really are interested, I can set it up so you get an email whenever I post a new blog.

ok I don't remember what I said on here about us leaving the house but we were given a "sign"
When we originally talked about it we always said that it was because the electrical was going bad which is true, but something was nudging us along. We have 3 level touch lights on our headboard and for awhile on a daily basis we would come home and they would be on. Eventually it increased and while I was in the bedroom feeding the baby fishies the lights started cycling. As freaky as that was I remained in the room. I actually had to change and needed the light on but it had shut off. I walked to my side of the bed and said out loud" well you can turn them on now" Nothing happened. As I finished changing, they cycled again. I was out of there! My husband was not around and I so wished he would get home.

This light cycling happened again at another time and my husband could see it from a different room but again I was in the room already. The lights continued to be on when we would get home almost daily until we signed the lease papers at the apartment. My in-laws stayed with us for quite sometime after helping us pack and stuff. I had asked if they had ever seen the lights come on or cycle.

NOT ONCE! It was like the warning was given, we took the hint and their job was done. It was not a scary ghost thing- like GET OUT. More like it was someone we knew telling us to get out before the house burns down or something.

Woo, those touch lamps are also susceptible to radio interference making them do weird things. I'm not discounting your story, but thats one possibility. For example, did you have your cell phone on you when they were doing that? Its possible your cell phone updating itself to the system could have been messing with the lights. One of my ham radio friends had touch lamps all over his house. When he would get on his radio, the house would go crazy with lights turning off and off. But it only happened when he was transmitting on his radio. Just one possible explanation.

I usually read Mz's blog too. I like reading her stuff, she's a good writer.

I don't miss having a page on Myspace, and I don't miss having to worry about someone getting upset because of the order of my friends list, etc. Sometimes I miss not having an account, though because I can't view pictures or other things on other people's sites that I would sometimes like to see. Most of my friends there were all you guys here. The daily thread here is my personal blog. I post whats going on in my life here. I'm saving you from a trip to my Myspace page to read the same stuff there too. You're welcome. wink.gif

I have been posting some on my personal site. Not much though. The Twitter folks automatically get notices of when I update that page. The last three entries were blowing off steam about the gas company problems. I should add something new. I intended that to be a family site. I had hoped that my brother's family, dad, and his wife would maybe get interested enough to post a little too, but they won't. My sister-in-law kind of ticked me off regarding the family site too. So, I've just been doing my own thing there and have given up on them.

The first time I tried Twitter, I didn't get anything out of it. The key for me has been searching bios for things I'm interested in and then checking out and following those people that seem interesting. Mostly, I'm following friends, tech people, and worship band members.

For example, since I play in a worship team at church I searched for other worship team members and added some of them to my list. I've gotten lots of links to things I'm interested in and met a few neat people by doing that. Many of them that I follow have their own blogs that I like to read. A few, I started following and quickly realized that they were not people I wanted to follow so I removed them just as easily.

The Twitter system problems are frustrating. I keep thinking that if I hang on long enough, they will eventually figure how to make it stay reliable and usable.

no problem Web. For the most part I don't just jump to the conclusion that is supernatural. Maybe it was nothing. But before I moved I was always one that would forget to turn on my cellphone so no it was not on. It should have been worse if it were by cell phone when my in-laws were there because they both had one. But they claim nothing. I guess that is what's weird to me. It just all of a sudden stopped after doing it daily. But I have no idea if anyone around there messed with the radio stuff. i could say that maybe the next door neighbor but why only during that time after living there for 3 yrs. Just makes me wonder.

Yeah, Woo . . . that is strange that it would just start and stop happening like that. ? . ?

I think Twitter is like any of the others. You'll get out of it what you put into it. I didn't put much into Myspace, so I didn't get much out of it. I'm sure that if I had taken the time to search for people that are into the same things I am and gotten to know them, I'd still be there and active too. I didn't do that with Myspace, but I tried it with Twitter and it is working out to be something I enjoy.

Another Twitter example. One of the guys I follow, Kevin Rose, is an Internet celebrity in certain circles. He used to be on "The Screen Savers" tv show but later went on to start the "Digg" news network and the "Revision3" internet tv network. Most of his Twitter posts are not much to get excited about. The other day though, he posted that he was in a certain airport at a certain terminal with three hours to kill and he invited anyone in the area to go meet and hang out with him. I thought "how cool would that be?" If you were close, you could just run over there, meet up with him and hang with a celebrity for a while.

Radio signal interference would explain my touch lamp then. I only have one and every now and again I will find it on. And I have heard the interference when I had my own radio on. It could be police, fire or air traffic.
