well I did an abridged walk in the glen this early evening. I got to the highest peak on the bluff, and then saw about 30 yards down the path I wanted to take was blocked off. great..... that slope is a rough climb! from the recent flooding tho, part of a brick retaining wall installed to stop soil creep came down. so the path there is really a bit treachorous. I walked back down the bluff and over to the southern most side to go up that way.

the volenteers who work there are still doing a great job of *continuing to remove buckthorn trees that were removed during the Buckthorn/Garlic Mustard Eradication (habitat restoration) program implemented in Summer 2007.

I saw fresh deer prints, which always makes me happy, but no deer. its kind of a cool feeling knowing that there are deer up there hidden, but are watching your every move.

Nope. It's the Thursday before a Friday off and a long 3 day weekend. I 1) went to the bank, and 2) went to the grocery store. It took me an hour to do both, and it took longer at the bank!
