Sunday, July 6th

Good morning.

Hmmm, as I was typing "July 6th" I just remembered that today is my brother's birthday. If he comes to church, I'll have to tell him "happy birthday".

Yesterday, I was not happy. Our fancy-schmancy front load washing machine stopped mid cycle and displayed an error code. I couldn't get it to go past that code and move on.

I looked on line and found a service manual for it. The manual says to unplug it and let it sit for two minutes then plug it back in. I tried that - no go. The manual said that if that didn't work, then the "CCU" or "central controling unit" (computer) needs replaced.

I was not happy considering the thing is only 1.5 years old and the warranty stopped 1/2 a year ago. I found a new "CCU" online for it for $130.00.

My mother-in-law's washer and dryer are still in her house, but they had been shut off. We took the load of wet laundry over there and got it started in her machine and then came back home. I thought I'd try our machine one more time since it had set unplugged for about 1/2 hr and it started up. The crazy thing then ran all day and finished up what laundry we had to do.

So, it may be ok, it may just be a matter of time until it dies . . . time will tell.

Gotta get ready to go to praise team practice. One of our singers and her family left to move to Iowa yesterday. I'm going to miss her. Our leader said he was going to make an announcement that we have a few open spots for singers on the team. Thats kind of a tricky spot becuase we're likely to get a few people who are willing to serve, but just can't sing very well. Being able to sing somewhat on key is important, as well as having the right attitude. We've had a few recently that wanted to get involved, but didn't take the commitment seriously and feel they can come and go as they please. Hopefully we can find a couple more good volunteers soon.

Have a good morning.

Good day all.

I actually have to do chores today.  I've shirked them off all weekend.  And I need to stop by the grocery store to replace the condiments someone stole at the party on Friday.

Afternoon e'body smile.gif

Not much to say today. I had a lot of running around to do this morning so I haven't been around. Now it's time to watch the All-Star selections and then the Brewer / Pirates game followed by the end of the Cubs / Cardinals game.

I LOVE THIS GAME! clap.gif

Web sorry to hear about the washer issues. That seems like standard electronic advice...unplug it and let it sit and then try it again....brilliant!...geez...I am not a gadget guru, but that advice always makes me chuckle...technology that sends a man to the moon can be fixed with a reboot.

Also I feel your pain with the loss of the singer...its alwasy hard to keep a core set of musicians together, but life is what happens when you are making plans.

Sorry Darlin,
did no shows, will be back next week tho.smile

we went to go see earth wind and fire last night, but it was soo soooo packed, there was no way to get in, much less be comfortable. So we only saw maybe 1/2 a song. I guess it was a pretty weak line-up last night, so those that are down there went to go see something they heard of, at least. Went over to a stage where a band called 311 was playing, but even that was too crowded, and from what I could hear, I think they're pretty bad. then went over to the rock stage where Mickey Hart, one of the drummers from the Grateful Dead, was having his show. THere were maybe 200 dead heads dancing around in circles there and wow could you smell the weed.

I am proud that milwaukee has the largest music fest in the world. As time goes by tho, I think I am more and more going to be looking for the smallest music fest in the world.
