How's the Weather Over There?

HEY!

Seeing that we are spread out across the entire country, and Ultimo is in England, I thought this might be a fun thread to start. CP has been telling me about the 85 degree weather in Southern California, while I am here freezing in Wisconsin. If anything interesting, good, bad, or out of the ordinary happens with the weather in your neck of the woods, answer the question "How's the weather over there?"

Milwaukee- just got over a weeks worth of 0 degree temperature, only to have it snow last night, and then have freezing rain fall on top of that. The walkways and roads were sheets of ice this morning. It is now a balmy 24 degrees. Think I'll throw on a pair of shorts and go for a walk...

On the western side of South Dakota we were in the negative double digits all last week. This week we are 50+!! I don't know whether to grab the snow shovel or the garden hose!

We just finished out bouts of rain and flooding.  Luckily I am a bit higher than my neighbors and nothing came into my house, although had to drain the pool some.  It began to overflow.  Now we are back to normal.  Thank God, becasue all the streets around me flooded.  It was difficult to get in and out.  Got in trouble becasue I took my SUV through the wash.

Much like you in Wisconsin, JD, its freezing in the UK too, certain parts had snow this week but we just escaped that, for now, but its bound to happen shortly, also for the las couple of weeks we have been having gale force winds, that have uprooted some trees and sent roof tiles flying all ove the place, Great Fun!!!!!

Well last week got "alot" of snow and now it's gone. I'm like Sparky and I'm going to break out the garden hose.

Riggs--I do not miss that weather at all.  I have even given my skis away.  I used to go up to Utah quite a bit, but no more.

RIGGS! OOO RIGGS!

I WAS JUST ON THE IM WITH JEFF ROBERTS!! I UNDERSTAND THAT PART OF YOUR EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT IS THAT YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR SHOVELING THE STATION WALK AND THE SIDEWALK OUT FRONTAND THE LOT!?!?! HAVE A NICE TIME BUDDY! DRINK PLENTY OF FLUIDS TO STAY HYDRATED, TAKE A BREAK EVERY HALF HOUR OR SO TO WARM UP INSIDE THE STUDIO, BUT I RECOMMEND STAYING IN THE HALL SO AS NOT TO TRACK SNOW ONTO THE CARPET. BEND AND LIFT AT THE KNEES! 11" OF BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW IS HEAVY!!

YOUR BUD,

JD

There is nothing I hate more than have to unbury my car from drifted snow that has come the past day.  I hate this stuff.

Last night I was out at a meet and greet for a food network cook (Good Eats Alton Brown was in town; Very personable guy).  Anywho, a normal 25 minute drive took almost an hour.  I'm not worried about my driving.  It's everyone else that is a fool on the roads.

I had to move my car this morning from where I normally park so the area could be plowed out.  I'll have to move it again soon. I hope the city hasn't plowed it in, but knowing my luck, it has.

To all of you in warmer climates, I'm so envious I can't even begin to tell you.

I'm in COMPLETE agreement!

This weather SUCKS!

I spent almost 40 minutes digging my car out of a HUGE snow drift, and then because the city hadn't plowed the street (not even ONCE as of about 3 PM today), I drove the car a couple blocks away to a street that WAS plowed and walked back home, JUST so they could plow out my street unobstructed when they finally came around.

I live on a corner, so I have to dig out the PUBLIC walk at the corner, I did that FOUR TIMES today!  When the plow finally did come by he came by FOUR TIMES and kept replowing over the opening I had shoveled.

Iy yi yi!  I NEED A VERY VEEEEEEEEEEEERY LARGE BEER!  I'm off to the fridge!

I hear you somechick. I got arms full of groceries after work last night, parked my car with the intention of not having to drive it until sunday, no reason whatsover to have to go outdoors until then. I check out the window this afternoon, and yea, completely buried and plowed in.

So I moved my car about an hour ago.

Good news, I wasn't plowed in.

Bad news, when I tried to go around into the alley at the back of my apartment, where I park, I couldn't get into the alley, had to back up, go around the block, and make a running start into the other entrance to the alley.  How irritating.  And while I'm doing this, I had cars on my bumper the whole time.

Thankfully, my lot was plowed at some point today, so I don't have to move my car again this weekend.

And I've got the beer chilling  in the fridge now.

Hey Somechick,

Do you have your computer running through your stereo?  If not do you have some good computer speakers?

We hate to envision you listening on some tinny little computer speakers

Excellent!

Just so you know, the request limit is 5 songs every 30 minutes over the weekends, so if you can pretty much program the station yourself if no one else is requesting at the moment!

Enjoy!
