i must finish up payroll. Shouldn't take me too long.
I got sick again last night. I told my husband that I should be a complete bean pole with as much as I get sick! We didn't even have dinner last night. We got full on Thin Mint Cookie Blizards!

good morning folks! tulsa metro has been having some fantastic temps for July -- this morning it was a mild 68 (usually in the 70's-80's), and just a hint of a breeze. despite turning in after midnight, i was awake to watch the sun rise and all the critters (squirrels, rabbits and birds) begin their day, and enjoy a cup of coffee outdoors.

everyone have a happy hump day!

Howdy,

Its a nice, cool morning here but its going to get back into the 90's today. Had a thunderstorm last night which was welcomed for the rain.

I'm kicking myself for trusting someone. It looks like a customer is going to leave me hanging with over $300 in domain renewal fees. I'm mad at myself because the whole time he was talking me into trusting him, I kept hearing this "don't do it" voice. He has lots of life problems right now (thats why I did it) so hopefully when he gets squared away, he'll come back and do the right thing.

I finally turned the air conditioner on last night. its supposed to be like 86 today and 90 tomorrow, so I'll keep it on, although I will turn it to low now that I'm heading to work.

we received our profit sharing report today. last year was a good year according to the letter.

what ticks me off is that our controller gives the letters to our receptionist to put in envelopes and either mail or hand out. each letter is personalized, stating what each of us had deposited... i mentioned this to the SHE BOSS last year that i didn't aprove and she was supposed to bring it to the attention of our controler.

I stayed up way to late last night watching an All-Star game that refused to end and then an episode of Outer Limits.

it is indeed a hot one in wisconsin.

this lady that works here says that last night she & her husband were sitting at home, thinking about turning on the air conditioner. she sez her cat walked up, looked at the air conditioner, looked at them and meowed. So they turned it on and the cat spent the entire night there right in front of it.smile

I'm depressed today. Being depressed on my birthday is probably a sign that I am in fact getting old.

I still can't keep the station on for more than 5 minutes.

I tried to pick up a birthday cake from the co-op last night, but they didn't have any I could have. The grocery store better have Ben & Jerry's birthday cake ice cream when I stop by after work tonight.

My work day has been kind of sucky. I found an order that I needed by Friday won't be ready until next Friday, so I'm in a panicked state trying to work around that.

I was going to spend lunch with the newborn baby, but when I called over there, there was no answer. So I'm assuming they're all asleep, and I don't want to wake them. So no baby holding for me today.

I'm going to go wallow in my self pity for a while...

Small town life has its advantages. It also has its problems.

I needed to get the boy a pair of swim goggles for swimming lessons that started Monday and go until Friday.

We went to our "Alco" (kinda like a crappy Walmart) store Monday evening and all they had were a pair of cheap $5.00 goggles. So we got them to try them.

They didn't work. They still let water in like crazy.

We do have a new sporting goods store so I stopped there today (they were closed Monday) and asked about goggles. The lady working said "We sold out last week . . . and it would take two weeks to get more in . . . and its already mid July . . . I doubt if we'll get any more for this season".

So I went to our "Pamida" (kinda like a crappy Alco) store. All they had were $2.50 toy Mickey Mouse goggles.

So, no goggles for him this year because we won't be going out of town in the next two days.

I really don't think there is a good pair of swimming goggles. I was constantly readjusting mine. Either water or they were fogging up. hmm

He'll be disappointed when he finds out there were no more in town, but he'll be ok with it becuase we tried.

The water in the eyes seems to be the biggest stumbling block in the boy's way. The first night the Joe Cool, 16 year old, big man on campus, lifeguard
stud, instructer kid let him use his nice goggles. I could tell he wasn't real excited about letting this 7 year old kid use his fancy goggles so I told Mr. Cool that we'd try to find him a pair.

I tried.

There are none to be found here.

I'm glad it made you feel better! I instantly thought of you when I came across that sheet of paper. Then I was worried that it was gonna get too girly but my husband loved it so I figured it was ok. It showed up yesterday?
