Love Songs

What are some of your favorite love songs?

Our anniversary is tomorrow, and we always make up a CD for each anniversary.  But after 4 years (this being our 5th), we're running out of songs.  So, any ideas?

My husband is a lot pickier than I am, and probably wouldn't go for Lionel Ritchie. He's more of a rocker.

Well, if he is a rocker, I guess that leaves out Barry White, Al Green, Earth, Wind & Fire, Chaka Kahn, Chicago...

Okay, it leaves out a lot.

OK, I'll try to think of positive love songs to request - on the rockin' side.   idea.gif

SG, I think maybe she'd best stay away from "Lips of an Angel." Not really all that romantic, unless she's the "other woman" in her marriage!  laughing.gif

Hey, MZ - don't suppose you have Frehley's Comet's "It's Over Now" ?  hmm

First of all, congratulations Mz.

The Little River band has a song written by Graham Goble for his grand parents.

He imagined what it must have been like for them as they dated when they were young in the 1940's.

The song is called "Reminiscing".

If you ever listen to the lyrics, it is a very romantic song.

The highest compliment I can pay it is I wish I wrote it.

(Everything I Do) I Do It for You - Bryan Adams
Angel - Aerosmith
Crazy Little Thing Called Love - Queen

We've used Barry White and Chicago before, so I guess we can broaden it a bit.

I think I'll have to go the more mellow route before the day is over, but for now I'm trying to rock it out!  laughing.gif

I think we've probably exhausted our collection.  I expect we'll either get CDs from the library or download songs from Amazon to make it this year.

Thanks!  I'll try to request some songs we've used in the past too.

Oh, and we usually put a couple "lust" songs in the mix too.

Well now, that changes EVERYTHING!  Once I run out of rockin love songs, I'll look for rockin lust songs.  biggrin

Richard is a heckuva guy to do that. Barely Amanatol gives me the shivers. Yeah, yeah... he writes the songs... still.
