Where's my baseball buddy?

Did you catch any of the Brewer game Fuzz?

We did it again, 3 of the four games were won with a homer in our final at bat.

This time Ryan Braun did it with a 2 run shot in the top of the ninth to erase a 3-2 deficit.

I was reading the St. Louis Post-Dispatch forum and opposing fans are starting to hate us.  Bill Hall stood an admired his two game winning homers.  Last night Ryan Braun took it to new levels.  He really just stood and watched it, and it only went out by about two rows!  Their fans were having a fit.

They also object to how our players pull their shirts out after a victory.  People feel it's disrespectful to the Cardinals (not sure why).

Cameron started that when he got here.  He said his father and grand father always pulled their shirts out when they got home from work and sat down after hard days work, so he's always done it as a tribute to them.  The rest of the team followed suit.

But all that negativity aside, we went into St. Louis one game behind them and three behind the Cubs.  We leave St. Louis one game behind the Cubs and THREE games ahead of St. Louis.  Good deal :)

Now let's both our teams get a win tonight!  clap.gif

I did not catch any of the Brewers game. I am out playing darts (and occasionally drinking) on Thursday nights during the summer. Besides that, my free preview is over. I am not sure how much that package costs for the rest of the season. If it were about $30 I would order it. Maybe I will call and say, "Let's make a deal. You give me the package for the rest of the season and I will give you an extra $30 this month." Do you think it'll work?

Well done Brewers. Making huge strides. We all know how hard it is to complete a sweep and even harder to complete a 4 game sweep. I wonder if the Cubs are looking behind them yet.

Phillies are having some issues. They are missing a bit of the offense. Maybe it still on the All Star break. Somebody better make a phone call and get it back.

In that other league, the Yankees are on a roll. Ought to be an interesting weekend since the Red Sox and Yankees clash yet again.

The MLB Extra Innings Package is $169.99 for the season if you order it before opening day, $199.99 if you order it after opening day.

Now it's $129.99 because it's past the all star break.

Of course, cable breaks it into four installments for you.

It's a lot of coin, but I never could have survived out here without my Brewers. And in the end it's not a lot when you consider you get 12 - 14 games a day every day, all year long.

WOW FUZZY, you gave Darlene a little bit of a fun lovin' buzz there! I'm impressed biggrin.gif Ah the fraternity of baseball fans. I love it nod.gif

Oh, I forgot to mention Fuzzy.

Last night I caught a tidbit of the LaRussa post-game interview, he just kept saying he was keeping his mouth shut so he didn't get in trouble with the league.

I don't know what he wanted to say, but I bet he was going to rip the Brewers for watching their homers.

Then they showed about a 20 second interview with Ryan Franklin, he's the guy who gave up the game winner to Braun to blow the save, and also gave up the homer to Hall a few days ago to blow the save.

I swear to God he was on the brink of crying.  His voice was cracking and was all goofy sounding, and twice he stopped as if to hold back tears.

Yeesh.  I'd say he doesn't have a closer mentality!

Why is Ryan Franklin closing games? You have to be kidding me. He really isn't that good. The Phillies had him for part of one year I think. I think he was part of a trade. Apparently the Cardinals need a closer.

Watch it Fuzzy, ask Tampa Bay what happens when you pick a fight with the Red Sox.
