We did it again, 3 of the four games were won with a homer in our final at bat.
This time Ryan Braun did it with a 2 run shot in the top of the ninth to erase a 3-2 deficit.
I was reading the St. Louis Post-Dispatch forum and opposing fans are starting to hate us. Bill Hall stood an admired his two game winning homers. Last night Ryan Braun took it to new levels. He really just stood and watched it, and it only went out by about two rows! Their fans were having a fit.
They also object to how our players pull their shirts out after a victory. People feel it's disrespectful to the Cardinals (not sure why).
Cameron started that when he got here. He said his father and grand father always pulled their shirts out when they got home from work and sat down after hard days work, so he's always done it as a tribute to them. The rest of the team followed suit.
But all that negativity aside, we went into St. Louis one game behind them and three behind the Cubs. We leave St. Louis one game behind the Cubs and THREE games ahead of St. Louis. Good deal :)
