The rap that I did put on the forum is the early, more fun stuff.

Some of it was innocent enough. Rapper's Delight, the Young M.C. song, etc.

Like MZ said though, the thing with Rap music for me, even if it's the clean, fun stuff, two or three is enough.

I think I just played that one day and it stuck in the library because I forgot to delete it after it played.  Or maybe I added it and it was lost in the transition.  I just don't remember no.gif

Next week I'll do a deep cut day (I promise) and we can get some of that stuff on the air for the day.

I assumed you meant the first mainstream artist to rap.

you're right, Sugarhill gang went to #1 on the black charts in 1979 with the song, but they didn't break the Hot 100 until late in 1980 and went to #36

Blondie's Rapture charted on the Hot 100 in 1981
