Today, we're working at the other house some more.
Its piano and safe moving day (It didn't happen Thursday) along with a bunch of other stuff. My wife's brother wants us there just in case something bad happens. I probably won't be around here much this morning.
We didn't end up going to the bridal shower because my husband wasn't feeling well. My Mom and step-dad decided to come over Sunday all of a sudden. Wasn't really prepared for that. We went to eat at Applebees. After a rough night of trying to sleep I got up and took a shower. After I shut off the water my husband comes in to tell me nicely to hurry up as we are gonna be flooded again. He saw that his walls were wet in his bathroom. He checked the hall closet and the new drywall is wet and the floor is damp. Not actually flooding yet. Pantry has some issues too. So we called the emergency line before leaving for work. We get flooded every time we pay rent. First flood we got a week off. 2nd flood we only got 2 days which only covered our water bill which was probably increased from having to do extra laundry from using our towels during the flood. What are we gonna get this time? Probably nothing since we didn't wait until it came crashing through the ceiling. This is so tiring. Anyway- carry on....

Good morning, all! It's a work from home day for me today, so the day is at least starting out nicely. Looks like thunderstorms brewing here, and I heard that there will be a heat advisory from noon until 7PM. Oh well.
Woo... Good luck to you. I agree that it might be time for a polite threatening and a move to higher ground if "the powers that be" don't give you a break.

Hey Darlene - how about them Yanks? 2-1 this weekend. I am sure there are many battles still left between the two teams this season.
At least they didn't take all 3, phew. Last night's game ended so late... due to rain delay, I am a bit sluggish today. No pun intended.
I have to leave the PD at 3 and go to the golf course for 4 today, long work day for me. the New England Professional Golf Association members are playing today.
Woo, that just isn't right. What state do you live in? I would love to research the renters rights in the state.
Michigan. We haven't talked to the property mgr that I know of today. She would normally call my husband and I haven't seen him yet at work. So I have no idea what is going on. We are smart and keep taking pictures though. The problem is that we do love the apartment. Just not all the garbage that keeps happening.

Have you thought about asking to be switched to another apartment? I know it's a hassle to move everything, but it's more of a hassle to deal with all the problems. Sometimes you just get a bad apartment for whatever reason.

We haven't yet. Because of the time of the latest discovery and having to drive separately from my husband today- we really haven't discussed much.

we're kind of slow today, so I just went to the mens room and trimmed my finger nails.
I also noticed that there hasn't been a whole lot of train activity on the tracks by work here. When I drove past before, it looks like they're doing some major repairs on the track area just north of here a bit. I know that road was closed on friday. maybe if I go for a walk one of these days I'll head back there and see whats up.

you are smart to keep taking pictures. make sure you also keep receipts of anything you need to have cleaned or replaced.
If you get nowhere with the super, a letter to him is next in order. send it registered to prove that he got it.
if that gets you nowhere, a call to the chamber of commerce, local congressman, and coutny district attorney works wonders. however, in order prevent reprisals, make sure all your complaints are documented.
The piano and safe are in the garage. Brother-in-law went and bought a winch . . . or is it wench?
Anyway, it is a straight run from the garage down the basement steps so he was able to back his Suburban in the garage, hook the winch to the tow bar, and the winch did 90% of the work. The main thing is that we didn't have a loose piano on the steps resulting in someone getting killed. Thats always a good thing.
Now I'm back at the shop and working on my own stuff.
