MAN! Am I gonna feel bad if she actually WAS hit by a tomato truck!
But seriously, what are the odds?
According to the American Auto Association your odds of being hit by any auto are about 1 in 28,000 in your life time.
Then you gotta assume that since only 1 out of 7 autos on the road are actually trucks of one sort of another, that would raise the odds to 196,000.
According to the National Association of Farming roughly 1 out of every 32,000 trucks on the road are carrying tomatos.
this would then raise the odds that Woo would be hit by a tomato truck in her lifetime to 1 in 6,272,000.
Assuming Woo lives to the average age of 78 for a woman, and 30 some of those are gone already, you've got to take into account that roughly 2/5'ths of her life have passed without in fact being hit by a tomato truck. Therefore, the odds are higher that it's going to happen sometime on the back end of her life starting now.
I'm not great at math, but I'd say that at the midpoint of her life if she hadn't been hit by the tomato truck her odds would then be doubled that the big hit is coming.
So taking the 2/5'ths approach, I'd add 40% to her chances, which actually drops the odds to 1 in 3,763,200.
I think it's safe to say that Woo is probably not here for a reason OTHER than having been hit by a tomato truck today
(Note: Odds that all statistics listed above are in fact made up by me on the fly are 1 in 1)
got Mz's message on Twitter. Surprised it came through the way that thing has been working
Anyway sorry I didn't check in. I am tomatoless JR. I've been working on payroll and I'm just in a mood. Somedays I just don't feel like abusing the privilege of being able to complain to you guys. Lately it feels like it's all I do. I thought about posting in the daily but then I figured once I logged in I would just keep coming back lurking. Anyway sorry I didn't at least do that. Thanks for thinking of me though.

I know what you mean about venting in the forum. I'm the same way. I do a lot of it. Sometimes I hold back just because I figure yeesh, they must get sick of hearing me moan and groan.
Then I remember, just cause I post it don't mean they gotta read it
So feel free to vent whenever you need to!
But, if you need a day away I can respect that too. Sometimes life just makes you wanna disappear for a bit.
No kidding! Last year, I was in the hospital having my guts ripped open in emergency surgery, then off for several days recovering, and no one thought to ask "Hey - Where is LS?"
But here Woo doesn't sign in for a couple of hours, and it's panic time!
Yeah, we know where the favoritism lies, Mr. Penguin. (If that IS your real name!)
