It seems maybe some of us aren't going to have a good day today. Oh well, that is something that bounces around here often.
Sparky - you get all that paperwork in order. Guess there isn't much for you to do until they actually tell you what date they will value the estate.
One had an IRA so there will be a Decedent IRA opened and the other was a JT TEN WROS so it's not as hard as some of them. The hard part is the two funerals, one today and one tomorrow.

Lately I am surprised that I am still purple. Some gray is beginning to show. Don't worry, I am scheduled to have that corn removed tomorrow. Then you can reexamine me in case I need some more work.
Not too bad on the work load then. And you should be impressed that I know what you are talking about. Bummer on the funerals though.

Sorry Mz. I didn't mean to help bring you down to my level.
Oh, it's not you. I just checked my bank account online and found I forgot to record a significant charge in my checkbook. Luckily, I have overdraft protection, so that one charge went through. But now all the little charges (including a $0.75 one when Brian forgot his cash when he went to the gas station and was just a tiny bit short with the cash he had on hand) are going through, and I'm getting hit with fees for every single one, which is ending up costing me more than the original mistake.
The last load is out of the other house. The only thing left are a few cleaning supplies that we will use tonight to do a final go over of the place. There is a huge area-wide garage sale towards the end of September that we have stuff boxed up for. The things we are keeping are in boxes in our living room and basement. All the garage sale stuff is here in boxes at my shop. So, we're far from done dealing with the stuff, but at least the house is empty.
Closing is tomorrow and the house will no longer our concern. We're just hoping that Mr "I can't decide and commit to things buyer" will not try to back out last minute. My wife said something about T-bones for supper tomorrow night followed by Tylenol PM and then sleeping on Saturday morning until we just can't sleep no more.
My new UPS came yesterday so I got that in and working. Its cool, it has a display with a digital readout of its status right on the front. It shows the line voltage. I'm surprised at how much the power varies. Just in glancing at it as I walk by it, I've seen it vary from 118 to 125 volts.
I got the hard drives and new fans to turn my old desktop machine into a NAS (Network Attached Storage) computer. It will just be file storage for the two laptops. It will have 500 gigs of RAID 1 (duplicated) space. I really thought about going with RAID 5, but I think I'll do RAID 1. What do you think would be best?
Yay!! A very good friend of mine, just called he has one extra ticket for the Police concert tonight w/ special guest star Elvis Costello, and I am going.... nanananananana!!!!
I love being single, everyone feels bad for you, and when it comes down to ONE extra of anything they call you!!!
I am actually having a fairly decent day. My daughter is still sleeping and I am amazed and how just knowing she is here has put me in a better mood.
Web: I wish I had half your knowledge on computers. My lack thereof is holding back some progression.
Woo: Sorry to hear your day is not so good. Just know you have friends.
Fuzzy: A drinking day--a good thing.
Mz: Call your bank. You might be surprised. I spoke with my bank when I got hit with some fees and they reversed all of them. Kill them with kindness. Don't be afraid to ask, the worst they are going to do is say no.
CP, I thought of that, but actually, I had to ask for some fees reversed not too long ago, and at the time they said they had a one time per year policy.

Just tell them no problem because your fiscal year runs July through May.
WOW... I'm sorry everybody is having a rough start to the day. I sure hope it gets better. I met Pambo and Richard at the hospital at about 6:30 this morning. Everything went well. It's going to be nap time soon though... all three of us are beat.
