Well I had another sleepless Sunday night. I am tired yawn

Friday we did go to the festival and saw our old hair stylist. I was wrong about her moving. She is still in Michigan but travels to Chicago for shows. It was nice to visit and we gave her a hard time about calling us- the lack of. She was there with a friend who is still a hair stylist so we are gonna give her a try since she works in our city. I need to try and get in this week before the family reunion.

Saturday I worked on getting my craft space organized. I got busy and before I knew it the day flew by and it was 6pm.

Yesterday was laundry and shopping. I also had to finish a birthday card.

Morning all! It was a nice weekend for me. We had a family party for my grandkids getting ready to go off to school. They are really excited about it. I'm also thrilled that we didn't all get sucked into a black hole and molecularly divided.

Working from home today, so it should be a fairly peaceful day... even though I'm already on a conference call.

Yesterday I noticed a front tire on the van was going down. Looking a little closer, I see the head of a screw sticking out of it. Last week, I put air in both back tires and after checking both of them, I see they both have lost pressure. So, I have an appointment to get three tires worked on at 11:00.

I'm listening to this week's TWIT podcast and they mentioned gas prices. One of the guys said that there was bill passed after the Enron deal that stopped speculation investments on energy . . . except they somehow left crude oil out of that bill. He said that now lawmakers have closed that speculation hole too and investors are pulling out of oil investments which is whats causing the oil price to come down. He believes this will NOT just be a temporary thing. I hope he's right.

Morning all. I just looked at the calendar and realized I return to work in 3 weeks. YUCK!!!! No way do I want to go back there! cry

Over the weekend, my oldest girl helped me lay out a design for a tat that I've been thinking of getting on my wrist. It's two interlacing leafy vines with some small little flowers on it. I like the way it looks on paper, so I want to go and see if they think they can incorporate it into what I want. I've been thinking of getting one for a while now, but I want to make sure it's exactly right before I have it applied to my body in ink. I'll see what they come up with based on the drawing I have.

There's too much going on for a Monday morning. I accidentally hit the off button instead of the sleep button on the alarm this morning, so we ended up getting up 15 minutes late. Not too big of a deal, but enough to make the day seem rushed. Then I had a customer come in right when we opened, which puts me off for the day too. I also have a doctor's appointment later today. So today is just not going to be a normal day.

For some reason, I'm also nervous about the doctor's appointment. It's just a yearly checkup, although there is something else I want to bring up. But it shouldn't be making me this nervous.

MORNING! I am just enjoying my only time to relax for the next four days. I have tons of work to get done today and tomorrow...then my BIG bosses are in town for two days....then vacation! Its going to be a loooong week.

Happy uh, "Elmondayo"? to you all!

I had one of those stupid nights where suddenly at 1 AM I got all creative and ambitious. I tried to just ignore it and go to sleep but I couldn't do it so by 1:30 AM I was up and out of bed doing stuff. I didn't get back to bed until 6 AM, then woke up for the day at 10.

Now I feel all sluggish from only 4 hours sleep. All that enthusiasm and gusto I had at 5 AM has turned into a major feeling of blah

I wish I had some talent in a creative area like painting or something. I think I'd fit into an artists lifestyle quite well.

Sleep when I'm tired and create when inspiration strikes, whatever time that may be.

Oh well. Carry on peoples!

I got my van back. They found nails in the three tires I told them to check. I asked them to go ahead and rotate the tires since they already had to take three of them off anyway. They did that and didn't charge me extra.

I stopped at the hardware store to check on my mower. The mechanic said he hadn't worked on it yet but he said he did go try it. He said "I let it sit here and run for 20 minutes and it ran just fine. I then went to go mow with it and it won't run under load." I said "I know that, and that is exactly what I told you when I brought it in the first time."
