The puppies were born on July 19, which was my dad's 75th! There are 7, three black, three golden and one brown. We are getting a female yellow lab. This is Emily's birthday gift, six months later. We have to install a fence and have been saving for that. I am TOOO excited! Oh yeah her name we think will be Ruby!smile

Having a Lab myself, I'm extremely partial to that breed.  They make wonderful pets and are great buddies for kids!!  Intelligent dogs too, easy to train.  They need lots of daily exercise to avoid gaining too much weight, as Labs never turn down food!

JD- had to make sure everyone was awake! biggrin no more little ones ever!

I am very excited Sandy about owning a lab. Growing up we had a standard poodle. Greatest dog ever- so smart and loving. Every dog I have ever owned has been black and a mutt and horrible! I am hoping the blond and the lab will help with that! Labs are so great and I hope that she will keep me in shape too!

Ruby, in Labs, color doesn't matter at all concerning their disposition.  I have a black Lab, female.  If I could afford it, I'd have one of each color!!  biggrin

Oh i know that color will not matter with the labs... but everyday black dog I have had has had issues. So I am steering clear of black dogs for now!

i'm sorry hmm.gif i just never could make it here yesterday...

she is such a beautiful baby! i love her coloring!

She will be a wonderful companion for the whole family and before you know it, E will be able to ride her!
