they took my 15 y/o aside and asked her a bunch of questions. my 10 y/o just cried because 3 sherriffs were here, one with gun drawn at first.
she didn't hurt me, she hurt the kids and I cannot fathom that in the least. i think that she thought i would be dumb enough to step outside when asked, so that I could show an arrest on my record with mental health services involved while I was on suicide watch for 72 hours.
First of all...to use the kids like this is unconscionably evil.
I cant't help thinking of the deputies...suicide by cop is never an easy call for law enforcement...Psychologically very hard to deal with...I think this one should result in an obstruction of justice charge against your wife.
Unbelieveable. I guess things are handled much differently where you are than they are in Kansas. It's not actually considered an "arrest" here under those circumstances. The laws here allow the police to take you to a hospital for further evaluation if they believe that you are a danger to yourself or others. As far as I know, that is regardless of whether you are inside your home or outside your home.
This sort of thing did happen to Kev-o once when he was living with Squatch. I only heard parts of the story from the responding police officers and third hand from my son (Squatch called him to tell him that Kevin was on his way to the state mental hospital). At any rate, the local police responded to Squatch's call for assistance and took Kev to the nearest hospital. The hospital evaluated him and determined that he needed to be put on a 72 hour hold at the state mental hospital.
CP, it truly blows that she would try to put you through that. Hopefully the police will have a word or two for her for trying to file a malicious and incorrect report. They have better things to do with their time than to deal with false reports.

I know they are required to check on you. Required to take you in is a whole different dealio. You pretty much have to be way out of control to be taken in. I'm glad it worked out for you.

Other than that, remember: you are the stronger person. This shows more of her evilness to your kids. Be the bigger person and just let the lawyer handle it. Take back everything she took from you and the kids too.
