RE: Its Thursday!

well good!
its nice its the same town as yer ma too. smile

I'm not house hunting, but when I go for walks around the neighborhood, I sometimes grab for sale flyers. I swear, $152,000- $165,000 would get you a good house in my neighborhood. I'm betting even 3 yrs ago it woulda been $185,000 to $200,000.

If I were looking to buy, I'd so hop on the $152,000 house. I'm just scared of the fuel costs now. no.gif

That's around what she spent. 147k I think was the final total.

Not bad for a duplex. She could have bought it herself and rented out half. But as it is they'll both be paying around what they paid in rent, but gaining some equity along the way.

My only concern for her is she's taking the downstairs which is huge. I don't think she's aware of how big her heating bills will be.

Oh I'm looking soooooooooooooo forward to her first heating bill. Expecially since they say it's going to go up 39% this year (lowered estimates from earlier this summer).

When she'd come over to my house she'd gripe and moan about how cold it was and I'd say "Wait until you get your first $150 heating bill and see how warm you keep your house!"

THE FUTURE IS NOW! biggrin.gif Buwah ha ha ha ha haaaaaaaaaaa!

No, we start back on Monday. The kids don't come back until the 25th. How are you?

I went for a walk tonight in the glen. I'm kinda bumbed, but totally understand them cutting down the invasive species trees. the place isn't nearly as lush as it was when these trees were up. I'd say 40% of the trees are gone. I just hope they are replaced with native specie trees soon.

I thought that no way would there be deer up there now. there's no real hiding places. I was wrong. I so a doe and a fawn up there eating leaves from some bushes. that made my night.smile.gif

IT still amazes me JD because all the times I've been in that area I don't recall such a huge area of land like that. You were holding out on us. We all should have taken a walk through it some time when we had cookouts at your apartment!
