That's true. I was lying in bed thinking "what the heck is that button that says Left Vent for?", "what about the one that says right vent?", and how does that mileage tracker gizmo over my head work?
I got my answers.
Turns out by the way that the little buttons that say LEFT VENT and RIGHT VENT move from side to side to open the back windows. Not sure why they just did't put LEFT REAR WINDOW, or LR Window.
I'm feeling better about our car now. When we first got it, the computer said we were getting about 25mpg on the road. Today, it was saying 33. It must be that everything is getting broken in and turning easier.
We stopped at one store and got the boy some long sleeved shirts. We were there last week and they had none. This week, they had racks of them.
Now that i think about it, I may take that bumper to bumper warranty. It covers all that little crap that can go wrong. On my old van the power mirrors stopped working, the power sliding door didn't work, the power windows in the back didn't work. The drivers side window wouldn't work (that was a 800 dollar repair right there from an independant shop! Would have been 1400 at a dealer!).
It would be nice to know that in four years EVERYTHING in the car will still be in working order going forward.
Those are the types of things that if they break and you don't have a warranty you wind up just leaving em' broke. But they pile up after awhile and the car starts seeming like a piece of junk.

Exactly!! All that little crap adds up in a hurry. My car is no longer under any warranty, and my power mirror on the passenger side stopped working. They want $150-$200 to fix it. Nah, I'm not fixing it. I manually adjusted it to where I can see out of it.
I know 33 mpg isn't stellar, but yet when I needed to get around a semi, we started at at 60mph and hit 80mph as we passed the front of the truck. To have that kind of pickup and still get 33 mpg is pretty good. Plus, its a pleasure to drive and ride in. I still can't get over how quiet it is. I'm willing to give up a few MPG's for those things.
That's the biggest thing I noticed about my new car too, how quiet it is.
I had a read a consumer review that said they put some sound deafening material in the engine area and it must work. My old van had a lot of engine noise. Not clanking or anything, just the sound of the engine running.
Please don't be one of those people that can't hear that their car is already started and they keep cranking the ignition trying to start it!! I've seen/heard a lot of them do that.
I was going to go tomorrow, but my youngest daughter is wore out from band camp, so I think I'm going to wait and leave on Monday. When I mentioned going tomorrow, I got an extremely nasty look, haha.
I don't blame her though....they work the kids really hard during the week of camp. Up at 7:00 every day, out in the sun all day long practicing marching and formations until 9:00 p.m., two hours of R & R time, then off to their cabins for the night. Teenage girls do not go to sleep right away though......they're up giggling and talking for a couple more hours before everyone's ready to call it a night.
So I'll be a nice mom and let her rest up here at home tomorrow, then take off Monday morning.
I'm in for a while. One's watching a scary movie downstairs with the b-friend, other is in her room supposedly cleaning it (not very likely). I'm online balancing the checkbook. It's been about a month... should be fun.
