Is the price on their cart cheaper than the price if you found them in a store? You're sure you can't find a store that carried their brand who could just get them in for you?
Thats just it, we've looked all over and haven't been able to find what we want in a store . . . at least not an assortment of matching sizes like this and certianly not the quantities.
You gotta remember where we are. I checked the hardware stores and they couldn't even get what we wanted. The "Alco" and "Pamida" stores just have the cheap, flimsy stuff that the lids don't even fit very well.
Any other stores would mean working with someone at least an hour away. Having to go back to get them, hauling 300 lbs of stuff back, etc. Sometimes paying a little extra is worth it just to have it done.
Yeah, there's no reason the freight shouldn't be honored as it's shown on the site.
Hell, maybe you could order them 10 at a time online and still come out ahead. at what point do they start saying "oh, the shipping shown on our site is not valid"

I first put the biggest ones in the cart and the freight said about $100.00. I was like "Oh crap, this is going to be terrible". Then I added the next size and the freight only went up about $10.00. Same with all the others. Then I thought "That makes sense if the are shipping via truck, they have like a minimum pallet charge to get the first bit on, then the rest is cheaper because its only adding a few lbs the pallet.
But now I've not mixed signals. The last time I sent you something nice, you got mad at me and wanted to kick my butt.
Now that I think about it, I'm not sure that is a chance I should take.
Maybe I'll have JR send you something nice so you can have another reason to kick his butt instead.
I suppose that is true. But that is because you shouldn't have done that. It is very nice. Besides, I thought you wanted a butt kicking. Is this not true? Although, I guess JR might like his butt kicked too. Plus, he is closer.

Web, did you try Amazon? I know some authorized Amazon sellers give free shipping if your order is over a certain amount.
I did but that was part of the first problem. I couldn't find any that had multiple sizes of the same style. They maybe had clear in one size, colored in another size and none of the 3rd size. I didn't see any that had free shipping on the totes. They are big to ship. I wanted to get them all from the same place so I'd know they would all be the same kinds.
I think I find myself in Tote hell with you now Web, but it's my own fault.
I bought two nice totes at Rite-Aid, but they were the only two they had. Now I realize I want at least 2, maybe 4 more, and I'm gonna have to run around to all the Rite Aids hoping I can find some like this.
Plus when I pulled these two apart I found four tops to smaller totes inside. So I suppose I gotta go return those now.
Got confirmation this morning that the totes have left the factory!
Yay!
Mrs Web will be happy. She's been looking at boxes saying "I wish those things would get here so I can start packing into the totes, I don't wanna move it all twice".
Although they were to end up at our house, it was $70 cheaper on shipping to have the totes sent to a business rather than a residence. I got a call this morning from the trucking company by the driver asking how to get to my shop. I told him that the shop was out of city limits but that these were to end up at our house eventually which is right in town and asked if he'd rather deliver there. He said "Well, yeah, I don't care and if I don't have to go out in the country, I'd rather deliver in town anyway."
So, I met him at home and we unloaded them in the driveway:
I've got them all unboxed and hauled to the basement. Now we can start filling, packing, and organizing.
The only thing I'm unhappy about is the shipping price. I was first quoted a price and it was awfully high. I told the lady I'd have to think about if it was worth that to me. She said she could do some checking and get back to me. She called back and said she found a way to do it for $80 less, which I accpeted.
Today, I got the invoice and I see they charged the original shipping quote. I told her that was not what we agreed on and she did some checking. She said, yes, I see the shipping estimate here so I'll tell you what, I will split the difference with you and credit your card back $40.
I was like Huh?!? I have to split the difference with you on your mistake? She said the shipping was not a "quote" but an "estimate" as they only charge actual shipping amounts. I said but, the sales lady told me she would get me a "quote" on the order. This lady insisted that the shipping part of that was just an estimate.
At this point, there was nothing I could do so I at least got the $40 back.
Anyway, Mrs Web is happy, the totes are here and we can now continue in the Web House organization party
Thats what I WANTED to do, but the driver insisted we use his pallet hand truck, wheel them on to the trailer lift gate, lower the lift gate, and then wheel them over to the driveway with said pallet hand truck.
Silly Man. It was a sunny day. You should have gotten a lawn chair, made yourself some lemonade, and waited for the boy to get home from school. What exactly did you have him for if not to do the manual labor?

Er, I think those boxes are as big as he is. He might've dropped them and hurt the totes. Then they would've been impossible to find again!
